4Lots of positives, few negatives
By J. Darnell
Compared to the iPhone 4S version of this case this is a complete redesign. Part of that was required because of the new dimension, port locations and size of the iPhone 5, but other parts seem to be a genuine attempt at improvements.

Positives
--Feels very well protected.
--Newer rubber material is more plasticky than previous versions. Better feel, nicer fit and seems less likely to stretch over time. Also doesn't catch when going into the pocket.

Neutral
--Edge on the front glass is significant. This doesn't encumber my typing but I am aware of it. Of course, this is part of the protection of this case and is a fair trade-off in my opinion.
--General thickness. Definitely distracts from the beauty of an iPhone 5. This is not a flaw in the product, though, just a decisions making point for the consumer. That thickness is, once again, a trade-off for protection.

Negatives
--Power button has a ton of resistance while in this case. Not sure if this will break in with time or not.

Having said all of that I recommend this case whole-heartedly if you're looking for a good amount of protection and you're willing to trade some sleekness for it. For me it seems like a significant step up in materials and fit and finish quality over the previous versions.

5Offers great protection!
By treken
I am not going to write a complete review, but I have to chime in on an 'issue' people are commenting on regarding this case.

No, this case is not sleek, it's a !@$*& otter box. If you bought this case, or are considering buying this case, it's because you want to protect your phone and prevent any damage from occurring. This phone is perfect for that purpose.

It may not still be as small as just the phone in your pocket, but who expects that when they buy an otter box? This case protects my phone great. It has a silicone insert which you put your phone into first, and then you put it into the hard, outer shell. This case even comes with a screen protector. Well worth the money in my opinion.

And on another note, the power button is not as hard to press as people make it sound, and I am sure it will get easier to press the longer you own the case.

The only thing I might say could be improved upon would be to put rubber on the bottom side of the case (perhaps a rubber bumper in each corner) to prevent it from sliding around. I have noticed when I toss the phone on my desk, it slides quite a bit. Perhaps my desk is just clean, but that's the only thing I could nit pick about this wonderful case.

5Solid protection, moderately slim and lightweight
By Gordon Todd
Bottom line: The Otterbox Commuter case is great protection for your iPhone 5 investment. And it's sleeker and lighter than the negative reviews might lead you to believe.

My highest priority was to protect this $400 gadget from damage. I also have preschoolers who are additional risks to anything fragile! Check.

At the same time, I wanted something with good design that would fit unobtrusively in my pants or shirt pocket. Check and check.

Also wanted materials that are durable. Time will tell, but my initial analysis indicates check.

FYI, I compared to the Otterbox Defender, which offers more protection, but is bulkier and more noticeable in my pocket. Also compared it to several different Speck cases, which appeared to offer similar protection at the same price, but did not come with a screen protector. Plus, the Otterbox color combinations, from black/white to lime green/navy, accommodate a range of tastes.

The criticisms in other reviews appear overblown. Regarding on/off switch stiffness, this isn't a factor at all. The case fits the phone perfectly. I didn't notice the "rough" edges on the bottom back because I don't hold it there.

In my four years of owning iPhones, iPads and cases, my experience is that no case is "perfect." If you want solid protection without too much bulk, this case is worth your consideration.

5Apple iPhone 4S, Does it Live up to the Hype?
By The Gifted One
I entered the smartphone world back in 2008 staring with the Apple iPhone 3G. Coming over from my old Sprint flip-phone, the iPhone 3G was a major upgrade and blew my mind with how much it could do. It was amazing that cell phones had advanced into a sort of mini-PC.

Fast forward to the present-day and I have now used and experimented with various smartphones, different cellphone companies, and smartphones OS's (iOS, Android, Windows, etc). I also run my own small cell phone shop and get to play with these devices on a daily basis. Back in the iPhone 3G days, there were only a few smartphone options to choose from. Today there are literally hundreds of devices across several carriers. All with different functions and designs. I'm going to cover how the iPhone 4S stacks up to the competition, what the competition is, what the 4S can do, and what improvements it makes over its predecessor, the iPhone 4.

HARDWARE
The iPhone 4S is almost identical in hardware design to the iPhone 4. It features the same rectangular shape with the flat gorilla glass back and front screen. The front and rear camera are in the same position. The only visible difference on the outside of the phone is that the volume controls are slightly moved on the 4S. The real difference in the hardware is on the inside. The iPhone 4S uses a dual-core "A5" processor. This makes it significantly faster than the iPhone 4. The processor is the raw power that apps need in order to operate fast and fluidly without slowdown or hiccups. With basic use, users probably won't notice much difference from the iPhone 4's speed. The extra power boost mainly shows its worth when playing some of the more high-end iOS games and apps.

CAMERA
In addition to the new processor, the iPhone 4S has an improved 8 megapixel camera. It also now has the ability to capture full 1080p HD Video. Unless you're a professional photographer, you will be blown away with how great the 4S is at taking pictures. It is on par with most of the dedicated point-and-shoot cameras that are currently on the market. Images are clear, crisp, and very colorful. I even sold my 10MP Canon point-and-shoot after using the 4S for a few weeks. When comparing pictures taken with the iPhone 4 side by side to the 4S, the difference is like night and day. As for the 1080P videos, they're also very beautiful. Just like the photos, the videos rival dedicated point-and-shoot devices and look absolutely gorgeous on the iPhone's retina display screen. The only drawback to these 1080p videos is that they can take up large amounts of memory. So if you plan on shooting a large amount of video, you may need to consider getting the 32GB or 64GB iPhone 4S.

SIGNAL RECEPTION AND DATA SPEEDS
The iPhone 4S has been expanded to include a 3rd US carrier Sprint. This brings your total choices to Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint.
Signal reception and data speeds will vary by carrier and location, so I'll give you some basic information about what to expect on average. Signal reception is greatly improved compared to the iPhone 4. The antenna problem from the iPhone 4 has been removed and the 4S uses separate antennas for incoming and outgoing calls in order to increase overall reception. AT&T is a GSM carrier while Sprint and Verizon are CDMA carriers. Verizon has the overall largest and most expansive voice coverage of the three, closely followed by AT&T, with Sprint in third. The 4S Data speeds will largely vary by carrier and location. Being a GSM carrier, AT&T is the only iPhone carrier capable of using the 4S's improved HSPA+ data speeds. AT&T users will notice their iPhones showing "4G" in the top left corner rather than 3G. Though this is faster than standard 3G, do not confuse it with the much faster 4G LTE network. The iPhone 4S is not yet capable of using that network. Verizon is second in 3G data speeds, with Sprint bringing up the rear. Again, these are average speeds from across the nation. Individual results may vary depending on your location. It is also important to note that Sprint is the only carrier that still offers unlimited data. This may be an important factor in choosing a carrier for some.

BATTERY LIFE
iPhone owners have come to expect excellent battery life from their devices. Previous iPhones have ranked among the most impressive in terms of battery life compared to rival Android devices. In the past each new iteration of the iPhone had better battery life than the previous device. With the 4S however, the overall battery life is about the same as the iPhone 4. Apple claims this is mainly because of the dual-core processor used by the 4S as well as the more demanding iOS 5 software that is included with the iPhone 4S. Due to this, there were some widespread complaints about the iPhone 4S battery life initially. Apple has since addressed the issue with their iOS 5.1 update. The iPhone 4S now ranks among the top smartphones in overall battery life. I can easily get through a full day on one full charge of average use.

SOFTWARE
Usually when comparing the iPhone to other phones, it comes down to the software. There is a big ongoing debate among techies between the iPhone's operating system "iOS" and Google's "Android" operating system. It's comparable to the famous PC vs Mac debate. Rather than type a whole page comparing the two, I'll just cover a few basics. The main difference between the two is choice. Customize or not customize. iOS is more fluid and crisp out of the box. All iPhones/iPods/iPads use this standard OS. Less powerful iOS devices are often able to move as fast or faster than more powerful Android counterparts. However, major modifications and customizations of Apple's iOS are not possible. The standard 4x4 row of icons is what you will get. Android offers tons of customization options. This is great for advanced tech users, but can be overwhelming to novice smartphone users or those not really interested in editing and customizing a lot to get the device to do what they need it to do. I usually recommend iOS to customers new to smartphones due to its more simple and easy to use interface. If you like customizing and making your the software on your phone look different from everyone else, I recommend an Android device.
The other major software difference between iOS and Android is the Apps. The Apple app store still has by far the most support and overall apps from developers. Most developers create an app for the iPhone first and port it later on to Android, or sometimes not at all. From personal experiences with both, I can say that many times the iPhone version of an app usually runs better or has more features.

SIRI Personal Assistant
Unless you've been under a rock for the past few months, you've heard of the iPhone 4S's SIRI personal assistant software. Apple touts it as a feature that allows you to speak voice commands to your iPhone and SIRI will do whatever you ask it to do. Well it can do some things, but not quite everything. SIRI is great for finding places for you. You can say simple things like "I'm hungry" and SIRI will open the Maps App and show you the location of all restaurants in the nearby area. You can also do things like tell it to play a certain song or artist from the music stored on your iPhone or ask it the Weather forecast for any given day. SIRI can also be pretty entertaining when asked random conversational questions. Questions such as "How old are you?" will cause SIRI to respond "Does this concern you?", "I didn't think so". Or saying silly things such as "SIRI I love you" will cause it to say "I'll bet you say that to all your Apple products". Overall it's a pretty nice added feature, but not a major selling point at this time. It's limitation is that it currently is only integrated with the standard apps that Apple provides on the iPhone. Once it is integrated with more of the third-part apps, I can see it becoming a seriously useful feature.

Overall I would definitely recommend the iPhone 4S. From the sleek hardware design, the beautiful camera, and the very large Apple App store, it's my top phone at the moment. The iPhone 4S has the battery life to last most people a full day and in terms of overall speed and ease of use, it is currently among the best available. The only people who I would not recommend the 4S to are current iPhone 4 owners. With all of the iPhone 4S's improvements, I don't feel like they're significant enough to spend more money to upgrade from your iPhone 4. You will be better off waiting for whatever iPhone Apple releases later this year. However if you're looking to purchase your first smartphone, tired of your old Blackberry or Android device, or just have an older iPhone 3GS or 3G, I would strongly recommend getting the iPhone 4S if possible. Using a smartphone has never been easier.

2It is Locket AT&T
By Judd
I brought this phone in december, when i realized there might a confusion between locked to AT&T or Factory Unlocked. I contacted the provider and they did say it is locked to AT&T, at that time the phone was selling for $ 649. Despite I sent it with package unopened, they cut off $30.00 on the refund, I really disappointed. Please note I paid for both shippings (sent and returned).

If you need a factory unlocked Iphone 4S, you bette not buy this one IT IS LOCKED TO AT&T.

1The Truth about these locked phones
By A Gentleman
Buying directly from Appleor an Apple retail store (NOT Best Buy or anywhere else) is the ONLY way to get an unlocked iphone, and even then, it will only work with at&t or T-Mobile (GSM networks only).

If you buy one from anywhere else, regardless of what you are told, you will be getting a phone that is locked to a single network, and there's nothing you can do to fix it. Verizon may work with you under certain terms, but that's if you're lucky.

When they say "unlocked," they mean "partially unlocked" so that you can use non-US (i.e., foreign) SIM cards in the phone if you travel. When you're in the US, you are locked to the network of the mobile service provider that sold you the phone.

Go to the apple website to buy one contract free, and you will see this information provided at the bottom of the page.

3Perhaps not the best option, for some
By Jonathan Evatt
I think the price Apple charges for this kit is expensive, but I think that applies to all Apple products, so many Apple product users may not consider that an issue (as we were willing to buy the product in the first place, right?). What I think adds to that issue is that many people may only want one adapter for one region they are travelling to. Apple does not provide an option for this, and this kit may then be overkill as a solution.

The other issue I have with this kit is that it forces you to use the full power adapter directly in the socket. This can be a major inconvenience if sockets and socket space is limited. It is for this reason that for people planning to travel to multiple regions with different plug types I suggest you consider buying Incipio Technologies TK-201 The Continental Companion Cables International Adapters for Apple Block Chargers. This gives you plugs for all regions and has thin, compact cables between the adapter and the plug. This means you can take up just one socket. I think this is important when travelling as one rarely knows what the socket situation will be in hotels, friends homes, airports, cafés, etc.. In public places especially, I have found socket space is often limited (usually by other people using them).

If you need a USB power adapter for your Apple device there are many inexpensive options available. This one (USB/AC for MP3 Players - White) for instance is very inexpensive ($2.70 as I write this) and has great ratings. This kit (Apple iPod USB Travel Kit with Car Charger/ Travel Adapter/ Cable - White) is also very cheap (a few dollars), has Amazon Prime, and includes what you may find useful for keeping your USB charged devices ready to go. As far as I can tell from the photo its upports 110 to 240 v.

I was not able to determine, however, if the USB/AC charger supports 110 to 240 volt power. This USB charger does though - Universal USB Wall Charger for Apple Ipod Mp3 Shuffle Nano Video Touch Classic Iphone.

My other tip is this:
If you are planning to just travel to one location needing a different plug type, I suggest just buying a pin adapter. I use them all the time. One like this would do the trick nicely (also has Amazon Prime option).

UPDATE (Nov 2010): I notice that the Incipio Technologies TK-201 kit I recommended as an alternative to this one is currently (and often) not available here on Amazon. You can get it elsewhere on the net (you'll just have to search for it). Another option, however, is to simply get a compact pin adpater kit. One that is small and very inexpensive is Lenmar AC5 World Travel Adapter Plug Set. That way you take your existing plugs and things with you, and the pin adapter(s) for the countries you plan to visit. This is a perfectly viable option, because all your Apple power adapters (for iphone, ipod, macbook, etc.) will support 110 to 250v, so it is really just the pins you are needing to adapt.

UPDATE ( Aug 2012): It appears Incipio has ceased making the product I recommended. Sorry to see that. So my recommendation sits with a World Travel Adapter plug, such as the Lenmar one mentioned in my 2010 update above.

I trust this has been of help to you.

4Well Made but Pricey Set of Power Connectors
By Glenn R. Howes
I purchased this for use with my wife's iPhone and iPod Touch while in China. I somewhat regret this as she will be using only 2 of the included plugs i.e., China and the United States.

The plugs themselves are of impeccable quality, and appear to conform to Apple's usual high standards. This does count for something as you can often get what you pay for. However, I would recommend that only people with unusually diverse itineraries purchase this kit and instead get a general purpose adaptor for the countries you actually intend to visit as that will be much cheaper.

Things I wish were true: I wish an airplane adaptor was included. I wish the individual plugs had their countries stamped upon them instead of having to look them up in the manual--some plugs are quite similar; the Chinese plug looks identical to the U.S. plug except for round holes cut out of the prongs of the U.S. plug. I wish it were cheaper.

I don't believe the included power block will work with an iPad. An iPad has at least twice the power requirements of an iPhone. I had a short discussion at the local Genius Bar and the Genius told me that the connectors would work with the high capacity power block which ships with an iPad.

Amazon makes a competing product which also contains an auto charger, the AmazonBasics Travel Adapter Kit for iPod; iPhone 3G; iPhone 3GS; iPhone 4 for about the same price. I have both, and I recommend the Apple product because of the flexibility of using the plug modules with different Apple power supplies, from MacBooks to the 2.1 Amp power supply of an iPad.

purchased this shortly before traveling to Ireland, and found it very handy to use. and yes, you don't need an additional voltage converter with this to charge your iphone or ipad. i called apple and was not able to confirm this, but the kind folks at my local apple store did confirm it for me.

5Great purchase
By Aeonfluxx75
After Verizon changed its upgrade cycle that coincided with both of my phone upgrades, I was left to either replace my son's non-functioning phone by purchasing an iPhone 5 for over $600, wait for next year to upgrade/replace or pay $200 to repair my son's originally free phone. I opted to check out what was being offered for last year's iPhone on Amazon and found a reasonably priced slightly used iPhone 4 with a great deal of memory. The device works as expected, no blemishes (at least none that I could find and I think there was mention of typical minor wear and tear - I saw none but I think that has to be put out there for used/refurb devices) and all cords, chargers were included in packaging. It was delivered early and my son is thoroughly pleased to go from a free Samsung smartphone to an iPhone 4 (granted he wanted the 5 but he's 15 - he'll live...besides he's happy to be at the same level his friends are at with their phones). I will be purchasing my phone this way and going outside of Verizon's market from now on. This seller is outstanding, the service and quality easily exceeds expectations. Thoroughly pleased!!!!

5Great for the essentials!
By John B.
I took a chance on this case- I had an Otterbox Defender for my iPhone 5 which I loved but I was intrigued by the idea of not having to carry a wallet for the essentials (driver license, credit card, debit card, and some Cash).

I can fit 3 cards in this case plus two folded bills of Cash. My "go to" card is always on top (it's the easiest to get out) and the case does exactly what I want it to do- carries the essentials so I grab my phone and go. It also protects my phone (it's the Commuter series, so it's not quite as rugged as the Defender but overall it's about the same size which isn't bad at all).

The cards inside are very secure and the case is designed so it's impossible for your stuff to fall out. My one complaint was that the screen protector it came with had stickers on it that didn't peel off cleanly and made it pretty much worthless so I don't use it- but I'm so satisfied with the case that it doesn't affect me giving it 5 stars.

3More Trouble Than It Should Be
By Rex Kullmann
I like the idea of a wallet case for my iPhone and doing away with my wallet. The fewer things to carry, the better. But wallet cases are very limited. The idea is that they are cases for occasional use, such as when you are going out for the night and only want to carry an ID and credit card. This wallet case can only carry three cards or two cards and three folded bills.

Otterbox Commuter cases are two piece cases that have a silicone layer covered by a hard shell. They aren’t my favorite because the hardshell doesn’t quite fit right leaving tiny gaps. Two piece cases take more effort to get on and off which is more of a problem on a case made for occasional use. The black on black color scheme turns the handsome iPhone into an all-black design-free box.

Otter likes to put rubber plugs over the jack openings which offers extra protection, but is a pain when you want to charge or plug in headphones. The volume button covers work well, but the on/standby button cover make it stiff and lacking in tactile feel. Otter provides a clear screen protector and applicator card.

Cards fit in the wallet case by sliding down the back panel revealing the compartment. The slide is stiff and there is no grip for your finger to press against. You have to press against smooth sloping plastic. When you get the slide open, you have to dig you finger nail under the top card so you can pry it up and out.

This wallet case is too much trouble for me. But if it fits your needs, this case should offer good protection and durability. Two and a half stars.

5The geek equivalent of the double-edged sword
By Steve Ruskin
This is another well made case from Otterbox. I've had Otterbox cases for my iPhones and iPads and they've always performed well. They aren't stylish, but they protect your device. I've used them for travel mostly, and have never been disappointed.

This "Wallet Case" checks all the usual Otterbox, um, boxes: Protective? Check. Grippy? Check. 80's Volvo-like Styling? Check. Yep, it's an Otterbox all right.

But one with a twist. Because this case resolves that nagging dilemma we all have: how do I carry my iPhone AND my credit and ID cards in one place?

Dilemma resolved. This case is that place.

Otterbox added a sliding tray on the back of one of their tough cases. From the front and back and the added "bump" isn't noticeable. In profile however or in the palm of your hand it's there alright. Think of the top of a 747 and you'll get the idea. A little curvature on an otherwise continuous line.

In that bump of a tray you can fit a pair of credit cards and your driver's license. Great for the minimalist traveler or a night out clubbing. That is if you go to hipster clubs where geeky dual-purpose cases are cool.

I don't go to clubs like that. I don't go to clubs. But if I did, this is the case I would take.

Go ahead and drop it while dancing crazily to the DJ's Devo dub: both your iPhone and credit cards will be just fine.

Just don't lose it. Then you'll never be able to call that girl in the Warby Parker frames who put her number into your phone. Plus you'll have no way to pay for the cab ride home. Double bummer, dude.

So there you go. The "OtterBox Commuter Series Wallet Case for iPhone 5 & 5S"--the geek equivalent of the double-edged sword.

5Changes the way I work with my Ipad Air
By D. Perkins
I am rating this 5 stars simply because so far everything promised has been realized. The bluetooth works smoothly although it takes some time to get used to it (I am writing this with the keyboard now), the keys are certainly adequate although if someone has very large hands they could be somewhat small for them, the keyboard can be easily removed when desired, and the leather texture is a nice feature. I suppose the only gripe I would make would be the thinness of the cover (compared to the Moko for example which I also have) without the keyboard but then again the case would be thicker and I have not had any experience where it has been a problem--just an observation and a comparison. The only other "issue" is getting used to the back key since I keep hitting the key above it which turns off the screen but it is becoming less of a problem with experience.

The pull out back so the Ipad Air can stand up works great. I am sitting here at Barnes and Nobles drinking coffee typing away and this is quite a nice experience. It may be that Bear Motion has learned from their past issues and put out a great product. In any case, if my opinion changes I will update this review.

3iPad Air Case - too soft but keyboard is good so far (Day 1)
By review
3.5 stars. I just received my case today. I was so excited to get it, especially because I plan to use it to take notes in class and the onscreen keyboard doesn't quite cut it when you're trying to quickly take notes. The keyboard itself was incredibly easy to connect and I'm very happy with the feel of it. I'll have to adjust to the size and the placement of a few of the keys but I'm sure it will be a quick transition. I'll have to see how long the keyboard lasts given some of the reviews on this page.

However, the major drawback for me is with the design of the case itself. First of all, it is very flimsy. I wasn't expecting real leather at this price so that doesn't bother me. However, the case is very soft as some reviewers mentioned. It would have benefited from a hard insert of some sort. I don't think I could drop my iPad and expect it to survive the fall, which makes me very nervous. In fact, the $10 temporary case I bought will probably serve me better in that regard.

I still think this was worth the buy only because other keyboards were much more expensive. I only hope it stands the test of time.

4Almost 5-Stars!
By Blazing Pascal
First, let me give you my typical usage. My iPad Air is almost always in the case. I only attach the keyboard when I am planning on using it (heading to the coffee shop, or otherwise planning to do a lot of writing). When not in use, the keyboard is in my office charging or waiting.

Having said that, let me talk about some negative reviews I have read. I have read a bunch of them and can say that I disagree in almost every case. For instance, 1. my keyboard stays on fine. No, it's not glued in there. It's just a magnet I believe and if I try to make it release, it will release. But in the course of my daily use, I have not had it slip or fall out yet. If I open up the case and shake it, it will fall out. If I am holding it as I always do when carrying my iPad, it's not going anywhere. 2. The kickstand holds my iPad Air up fine. Sure, I can tap the screen a bunch of times and it will eventually tip over, but who is doing that? I open up the case, pull out the kick stand, open up Byword or something, and start typing. The stand works fine for me. 3. It is true that the cut-outs are not perfectly placed. If you need to have your mic or camera centered perfectly, you may have a problem, but not a single thing is even partially obstructed in my case and I'm happy (which is saying something because I am a bit OCD). Now on to more positive things.

- I love the look of the case. The black leather (or whatever it is) with the brown or orange stitching looks great, imo. It smells good too!
- There is a secure flap with velcro holding the device in place and it does the job. How well you place the iPad will obviously determine how well the cut-outs are placed, too.
- The keyboard is at least as good as any other I have used (about five or six) and is my favorite so far. It is sturdy with a good throw and tactile feedback. Of course, that's a personal preference thing.

Basically, I am more than satisfied except for one thing: the top-right key is a lock icon which is used to lock the iPad. Used with the function key, it does the delete function. Below this lock key, and significantly narrower, is the backspace key. Now, if you are used to typing on the iPad or any number of other keyboards, you may expect to find the backspace key in the upper right corner. This is exactly what I expect. This means that every time I naturally try to backspace, I end up turning off my iPad! This is very annoying.

I wish that, at the very least, they would have made the lock work in conjunction with the Function key so that accidental presses merely tried to delete rather than turn the whole thing off. If that were the case, I'd give it five stars without reservation. The good news is that if you just press the lock again, it turns the iPad back on and you're right back where you were. Could be worse.

***** Make a new one with the backspace/function+lock key on the top right and the Delete key beneath that and I will buy another one and tell everyone I can to get one too.

So, if anyone knows of a way to reprogram that key, please let me know! Either way, you will have to decide whether that's a deal breaker for you. I will just keep practicing and hopefully get used to it. We'll see.

11 star for the seller-----5 stars for Amazon costumer service
By comanche
i bought this phone "brand new" "unlocked", well it sure was unlocked, but new? , not so much , after 5 months the phone started to have problems with one of the speakers so i went to an apple store because to my knowledge the phone was still under warranty ( 1 year), according to the representative at the apple store, the phone was bought more than a year ago, i was like ohhh no, i have proof that i bought it , and bam, im all cocky getting my receipt from amazon, right away i found it , and they guy is like , you see , this receipt doesnt have the EIN for this cell phone so we can accept it , i was like , im f....ed now, called amazon, for the first time in 2 years i had an almost bad experience , LOL because i called twice to ask for a receipt with the EIN on it , the sent it twice to my email, but it was the same receipt i had( no EIN on receipt) but the third representative, offered me an 80% refund on my purchase which i thought it was awesome because my plan was to get the phone fixed and sell it for $150.00, when i sent the phone, the very next day i received a call from amazon , letting me know that they had received the phone and that they where processing my refund, these guys are awesome, now why to me this was a good deal? , well i wanted the iphone 5 so, i used the money to upgrade.

3good and bad
By rko
The good: the adapter works for what I needed. Using it to connect iPad mini to iCue teleprompter.
The bad: the ridiculoously high cost and the very short (2 inch) cable which means you are connecting a large VGA connector to a large tablet through a rediculously tiny and fragile lightning connector. When you are holding the iPad mini in your hand, you worry about breaking the lightning connection because of this. Why didn't the Apple designer think of that?

5Works wonderful
By Anomaly
I bought this adapter to use it with (a) my new iPad and (b) iPhone 5, both of which have a lightning connection. The primary purpose was to be able to display a Keynote Presentation from these devices on a large screen. However, in the process I tested other applications also. They included (1) YouTube, (2) Safari, (3) Videos and Photos. They all worked Well. You see them on the screen as it looks on the device. However, as soon you put the application in the full screen mode or landscape orientation, you get a better resolution picture that covers the entire screen. However, there is a difference between the iPad and iPhone projected displays here. The picture from iPhone fits the entire HD screen (16:9 aspect ratio), whereas the one from iPad fits more like a 4:3 aspect ratio picture on a HD screen, presumably driven by the native resolution on their respective screens. Though both the devices have a retina display, the picture from iPhone is crisper and better looking. I am not sure why. Maybe, because iPhone is newer. I do not know how the projected display from iPad mini will look like.
I am writing this review by connecting my iPhone to a 22 inch monitor with this adapter and using a Apple wireless bluetooth keyboard to type. It is hard to tell that I am working from a iPhone. Though I was going to use my iPad for my presentations, I will now use the iPhone becuase it displays better (not to mention looking cool).
The design of this connector is carefully thought through. The short (~3 inch) cord from the phone to the VGA connector is long enough to do things on the phone while holding it in the palm, without having to lift the entire wiring. The lightining connection in the adaptor helps power the phone when presentation is made. I plan to make presentations with my iPhone-5 and iPad using this adaptor, and do not forsee any problem doing it. I would have preferred the lightning to HDMI adaptor, but my video projector does not support HDMI. Overall, an excellent product.

Update: It will not work with Amazon Instant Videos. The app is not compatible with VGA or HDMI or Apple AirPlay.

5Very Useful
By Brad B.
Simply put, this product does everything I need it to. Very clear picture and easy to utilize. There is a VGA port and another Lightning port. Don't confuse the second port for an HDMi port. I would recommend.

5These are so AWESOME!
By Zarni
I have been looking for this type of speaker for so long in my local stores but they are always out of stock. Im very skeptical about buying anything online, so i was nervous at first. And after reading some of the other reviews, i wasnt expecting an awesome product. But, i got them in.. and they are so cool! They work perfectly! When i first plugged them in i thought the sound quality was horrible, until i realized the plug wasnt in all the way (oops lol). But they are seriously my favorite speakers. Even all the way up, mine never crackle. One thing i didnt realize is that they come with a usb to plug them into a computer for the power, but i didnt have one available when i first got them. But my phone charger is one with the usb plug in it. So i hooked it up to there and plugged it in the wall and it works that way. Im thinking about buying some more as presents. This was originally supposed to be for my boyfriends birthday, but he broke up with me as they were shipping. So, yay for me! :) i highly recommend these.

4Discrepancy with brand name; reviewing what I got
By jukey_23
First off - I am reviewing the Atake speakers...not the Soundsoul ones pictured in this listing, because that is what I was sent instead.
This was going to be a problem, but the seller (soundsoul) took care of the customer. I contacted the seller and they explained that soundsoul and atake were the same brand. Not sure how that works but I was taken care of either way, so...
However, I suggest you contact the seller FIRST to ensure you receive the speakers with the soundsoul logo on them. I have no idea if there is a difference in quality or not. I didn't pursue the soundsould speakers afterwards.
But I did test the Atakes out; and I did a comparison of these vs the ones on sale at Spencers.
Let's keep in mind that the Atakes were sold for $30 vs $50 at Spencers.

So the first thing you will notice is that the Spencers ones (appears to be THEIR brand...could be wrong; didn't see any other brand/logo) come with a wall adapter; the Atakes don't.
The thing is that you have to have a USB power source for these speakers - usually from a pc/laptop's usb port to the speaker. If you don't have a laptop (yes, there are some people that don't...like my little cousin who I bought these for) you'll have to figure something out. You could use a cellphone charger, but the port on the speaker is a USB mini b 5-pin type (thanks 'cables to go' for helping me identify)...so depending on what port your cell phone has, you still might be out of luck and end up having to purchase an additional piece of hardware (some kind of adapter or something).
I think this may be the reason the Spencers ones are a bit more expensive. The wall adapter is quite handy and allows you to use the speakers without being handcuffed to a computer.
Past that, there are a few small differences to note.
There is a difference with how the speakers and the music sync. Really, one wasn't better than the other. Just different.
For example, I played (Fallin' Like) Dominoes by Donald Byrd on both. Spencers danced to the snare and the highhat...Atake danced to all four beats. Some people might like one over the other...but honestly, after all the instruments come in and the song takes off, both really lose any kind of synchronization. But its to be expected. I mean, shooting water can't really reflect each nuance. Its not like the technology is there to allow the speakers to differ between a kick drum and a high falsetto chorus.
As far as sound goes, I am surprised at both. They sound kinda like laptop speakers that have Beats audio...but a tad better.
I mean they can't bump like high quality book case speakers, or a Bose sound system. What you're paying for is the light show. The audio is icing on the cake.
Bass is there.
Highs are there.
Mids aren't erased.
Very serviceable. I think most people will be satisfied with the sound.
Overall looks - they are both the same size. If you can't visualize the dimensions posted, think of a 1-liter bottled water. There you go.
Desktop speakers, basically - or they would look neat on a book shelf. The Atakes I got were white and looked nice, glossy and shiny. The Spencers were black in a kind of rubberized material; not shiny/glossy but still looked sleek and cool.
I know there seems to be a few different brands floating around - even Thinkgeek has theirs.
So keep in mind you don't get a wall adapter with the Atakes and you do with the Spencers. Music syncs differently between the units...NOT better than one or the other. The material they are made of (the base) is different as well. Those are the only differences outside of about $20 more for the Spencers ones.
Apparently though, Spencers has a warranty on theirs that as long as you have the receipt, they will replace the speakers if they ever break. I asked the associate how long that's good for, she said "Just as long as you have the receipt..." Ok, hmm.
This is the reason I still haven't made my decision yet.

5The 6 Core - D500 model is the "Goldilocks" of the Mac Pro Line... "Just Right"
By Joe Crescenzi
While most of the buyers of the Mac Pro line will be looking for a custom configuration, the 6 Core model with dual D500 GPUs will likely be the one that has the best mix of price and performance.

If you are unfamiliar with the new Mac Pro line, there are quite a few combinations of options that can produce a range of prices from $2999 to nearly $10,000.

Currently there are only TWO "Stock" configurations:

$2999 gets you a Quad Core Xeon with dual D300 GPUs, 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of Solid State Storage

$3999 gets you a Six Core Xeon with dual D500 GPUs , 16 GB of RAM and the same 256 GB of Solid State Storage. This is truly the "Goldilocks" configuration... the middle of the road.

In a custom configuration, which you can only get directly from Apple (which takes time), each of those components can be upgraded, however only some can be "User Upgraded", so you must be aware of that when you buy, because you will not likely change them later.

Here are the things you CAN upgrade AFTER you purchase:

1. RAM - You can upgrade the RAM on all models, from 12 GB all the way to 64. There are 4 card slots, however you can't mix chip sizes. So, if you buy the 12 GB model, it uses 3 cards of 4 GB each leaving 1 slot open, so you can upgrade it to 16 by adding one more card. If you want to increase it beyond that, you will be removing all of the 4GB cards, and replacing them with 8's or 16's.

This means that the 16 GB model comes with 4 x 4 GB cards, so any increase in that configuration will involve getting rid of all 4 of the 4 GB cards and starting with 8's or 16s. I think it's a shame Apple doesn't start with 2 x 8GB cards, so you could keep your existing memory and add two more... or even better, if it had 1 x 16GB card, so you could add up to 3 more.

Anyhow, with this base model, if you want to upgrade to 32 or 64 later, just be prepared to toss out the old.

2. The Solid State Drive is upgradable too, however since this is new technology, it's not easy to find them right now. My guess is in a year or two, there will be plenty of third party SSDs out there. In particular OWC has already committed to making a line of Mac Pro friendly storage.

3. The CPU... oddly IS upgradable, however you will not likely change this for a long time, because the Xeon chips in these models are super expensive. The top of the line 12 core that fits this socket costs well over $3000. In either case, it's nice to know you can. So in a year or two, you may be able to double your CPU cores for $1000 or less as chip prices drop.

Among things you CAN'T change (easily).

1. The Dual GPUs. The GPUs in this model technically are not soldered in, so although upgrades are potentially possible, I don't think there will be any third party upgrades on the horizon. So, if you think you need ultra-high end 3D rendering or GPU intensive power for image processing or CAD, get the GPU card you want from the start. You won't be able to change it.

They don't have a "Stock" configuration with the top of the line GPUs, which are the D700s, but the "Goldilocks" configuration has the D500s, which are right in the middle, and they are super powerful. Years ago, that kind of horsepower could only be found in a super computer.

Although some people consider the Mac Pro to be expensive, the reality is the GPUs alone are based upon existing cards which actually cost just as much as the entire computer. These are not the run of the mill graphic cards you would find in a typical gaming computer. These are world class workstation grade powerhouses and they are NOT cheap.

Who should consider the low end package?

Anyone who would've considered the iMac or the Mac Mini, but wanted something more upgradable. Right now, those other models do not have anywhere near the expansion capabilities of this model. At best, you can upgrade the RAM in the Mini to 16, and the iMac to 32, the rest are literally locked in and not accessible, much less upgradable.

Also, the iMac and Mac Mini do not have Thunderbolt 2, which is the next generation in high speed expansion. Thunderbolt 2 is twice the speed of the prior generation and it is capable of speeds of up to 20 Gb/s, which is not only 4 times faster than USB 3.0, but it is also a direct path to the motherboard itself. Unlike USB which is just a communication protocol, Thunderbolt is actually more like the internal card bus in traditional PCs, except it's self contained in a cabling system. In fact, there are actually products made today that take the Thunderbolt bus, and give you traditional card slots, so in a sense, it's even more expandable than the older tower configuration.

5New Mac Pro
By Geek guy
Well thought I would write a review of this beast of a workstation. Note I bought from another another site to save on taxes.

I have a 2008 Mac Pro and felt it was time to upgrade to the latest model. I use the Mac Pro for everything from 3D art to work and some gaming and normal web and email.

For work I use the MS RDP client app to connect to the Microsoft world via Gateway and works perfectly.

Also I have three 55inch TVs that I connect to the Mac Pro and in this case is where the Mac Pro had issues. Connecting the TVs you need to have a Active dongle to make the third TV function. In the older Pro 2008 I added another video Card and had no issues, In this case you will rack your brain trying to find the answer. Oh and do not go to the Apple Geniuses for this as they have no clue nor does apple sell the Active dongle. Third party.

But other then the dongle issue its been flawless. A normal render of my 3D art on the old Mac was about 15min to complete at the highest level. The new Mac Pro less then a min big difference in my world.

Current game is Elder Scrolls online and they support both Windows and Mac OSX and works flawlessly as well.

The old Mac Pro has a lot of fans and you can hear it. Its was not as loud as normal Window workstation but still.. The new Mac Pro can not even tell if it is on. Even under load still can not hear it.

I have heard people trying to build a a system that is equal to the New Mac Pro then Hackintosh it.. I did this a five years ago and it worked but was not worth the time and money spent.

Been using Apple hardware for the last 10 years and everything that I have bought from Apple still works today.. Even that first Mac Mini. Yea the cost is much higher but the quality is much better. I also have used Vm-ware for Windows VM’s but I have not used it on the new Pro as I try to stay away from the windows world. I might have to support Windows OS for work but do not use it for my personal stuff.

If you are on the fence because of the price I understand I was too, but so far it is worth every dollar and the OSX is a much better OS then Windows ever could be.

Will be upgrading the memory very soon to the 64Gigs and max the system out. Note on memory I noticed this in all of my Macs that Run Maverick. I found that the Apps do not release the memory so like in my Macbook Pro 17 with 8gig I would run out after using several apps. Got a memory manager on the App store for 99 cents and fixed the issue. So its a OSX issue not a hardware problem.

Oh one more kind of issue for me was the plugs that hang off the new Mac Pro since they are in a tight area there are a ton of cables coming out the pro.. So cable management is differently needed here.

Overall I’m very pleased and will keep the five star because even with the Monitor issue and the little things mentioned. The New Mac Pro is the king of workstations and the size amazes me. Its no taller then my IPAD so extremely small and a ton of power.

5A dream that is shaped like a can.
By Joshua Glowzinski
A few things before my review. First, I have had 5 computers in my 29 years of life. The first was a DOS system my godfather gave me. Then an HP with Windows 98 my grandparents got me. Then I got three more over the next decade or so. All but the DOS one had Windows. So, I am no expert of Macs or the OS that is on it. I read the Steve Jobs bio and decided to switch to Mac. I save my money for a little over two years. I was going to get the best last gen Mac Pro I could. After I saw the new one was coming out, I realized I would have enough to get the best one of the new generation. So I pre ordered. I got an email saying it would arrive from the 10th of March to the 12th. I got it on the 6th!

Now for the review. But first, a good laugh. When I first got the thing, I had no clue how the hell to turn it on. It took me 15 minutes to figure it out. Haha I actually almost broke the thing. I had it in the air. I hit a button and it was the button that unlocks the shell. If it had not been for the cables hooked into it, the entire computer would have fallen out onto my floor. I would have just looked and cried. Haha
Ok, so the tower itself feels solid. It is a good weight. The outside gets really cool. When I go to turn it on in the morning, it almost feels like it has been sitting outside. The power button is on the bottom left side of the back. When I first turned it on, I heard a sound. It came from the tower. I looked at my monitors and the freaking thing was on. It actually comes on faster than my iPad 3. I just sat here and stared at it. My PC I had been suing took like two minutes to come on.

After setting everything up, it was time to play. It is amazing. Nothing freezes or pops up randomly. No screen full of software that I've no need for. Just a simple clean look. The icons on the bottom tray are a nice thing. Instead of filling up my desktop with a thousand icons, they are nice and clean on the bottom. I did put a few things on my desktop, but I had the choice. Even for me, who has never really used Mac, though I do have a laptop, I never use it. I got it randomly one day, everything is easy to figure out. I LOVE the setup and look of the software. It actually almost reminds me of my iPad. Say you open your email. Well, unless you close it, you can mineralize it and when you get a new email, it pops up on the top right of your screen. The same thing happens when someone replies to something I write on facebook. Very cool. Everything is right there when you need it.

I have two monitors. One is a Cintiq 21 UX. I was worried it would not work. It is important to me because I am writing a series of kids books. I use it all the time. Well, I got two DVI to Thunderbolt two cables and they work fine. I was mad at first. The Cintiq, while working fine as a monitor, would not let me write on it. I realized that stupid me did not have the USB cable hooked in. haha But the monitors work great. The main software that I used in windows works with this OS. For that which does not, I got a program called Paralles. I had Windows 8 sitting here and installed it. Worked great.

The one thing that bothered me was the available storage. I got the most I could and it is 1tb. That is more than enough for some. Not for me though. I have almost 12,000 songs on my computer. Thousands of TV shows, hundreds of movies and books and thousands of Apps. The art I do takes up a good amount of space. I save it in Photoshop format as well as jpeg. I also do a lot of video stuff as well as music and some Flash. But, I found the solution. Western Digital. I found something called a My Cloud EX 4. It is a 12 tb external drive of sorts. Hooked it up and it worked right away. I've not even done anything with the Mac yet. I am just putting stuff onto that drive from Blu-Rays. But that was the only problem. Well, that and I could not get my TV tuner to work. But, I found the solution to that and got one from eBay.

As far as programs go, never have I had a system that loads things as fast as this. I mean, I click it and it opens right away. There is no wait time. I can have 10 things going at once and everything is just flowing like water through a stream. It is an amazing thing to see.

The Mac stays so quite. I cannot even hear it now and it is just below me. I had it one for hours and hours over the past few days and while it may feel a little warm, it never gets hot. It is just incredible.
What I now have is the fastest, most well balanced system I have ever had. It does what I need it to without problem. It is easy to set up and once you are all through with the set up, you can sit back and just look at the cool, relaxed look that the OS is. For anyone who has ever liked Apple, or for those who want to give it a try, this is the best system I've ever owned. It makes me mad only for the fact that it took me so long to give Mac a change.

Just a quick update.
I was transferring stuff from blu ray, to my Mad, then to my My Cloud EX 4. I had pictures. 17.5 gigs. I started at like 8pm. My Mac Pro had been on since about 5pm. It did not finish until 11 something in the morning. My Mac Pro did not feel hot. After being on for such a long time. Good to know.

4Almost Perfect
By Nicholas Ehlers
I ordered this case in anticipation of my iPhone 5 coming in. I actually had it for about a week before I got my phone. My only real concern with the case as I awaited my phone delivery turned out to be valid, and the main reason I give 4 stars instead of five.

This case is excellent. Its textured body not only feels good in the hand, but helps with grip. The kickstand on the back of the case is very handy, being that it's bi-directional (able to sit sturdy in either portrait or landscape position). The phone is more than steady enough on it, even when set upright in portrait position. One unexpected benefit from the kickstand is that I find myself opening up and using it as a finger hole, even when I don't intend to set the phone down. If I'm going to use the phone for longer than a couple of seconds, I'll pop the stand out and slide my ring finger through it. This serves as a kind of handle that makes me even less likely to drop the phone.

One of the smaller problems with the case, as mentioned by other reviewers, is that the tracks for the kickstand on the back (as well as a small space underneath the tracks) are open, leaving a portion (albeit a small one) of the phone exposed. I'm not really concerned with damage occurring as a result of this exposure. However, it does allow for more dirt and dust to get into the case. I actually purchased a back protector for my phone so that I wouldn't have to worry about this issue.

The bigger problem with this case (and, as mentioned above, the reason for one less star) is that it doesn't offer complete protection when off of the included holster. The pictures as listed on the item page on Amazon are shot with a black iPhone 5. Set against the black color of the case, it makes the coverage a little harder to see. A white iPhone 5 would betray the lack of coverage much easier (which I suspect is why they didn't use one in any of the photos). The last photo (as of the time of this review), one shot from the reverse with the kickstand out, shows just how little coverage there is on the top front (and subsequently the bottom front) of the phone. This isn't much of an issue when the phone is in the holster. However, we tend not to use the phone in its holster (bluetooth accessories not withstanding). We are much more likely to drop the phone when holding it against our ears, or when pulling it out of the holster (or a pocket or purse). All four rear corners are covered by the back of the case, but all four front corners are almost fully exposed. If the phone were to be dropped on a hard or uneven surface, there is a good chance for damage to the exposed parts. There simply isn't a good reason for the lack of protection on those corners.

Overall I find the case to be excellent. I use my phone to talk (duh) and for a lot of podcasts/music listening. To facilitate that I have a nice bluetooth stereo headset. My phone stays in its holster most of the time, so it's protected. But the case would be perfect if it just had front corner protection!

5Oh, wow!
By Kingmonkey
Oh, very very nice case. The grip is smooth rubbery so you grip it well. The bumper protects the sides with slots opened on the side for volume rocker access and top and bottom (though not completely covered to allow access to charger port and power button atop, vertical sides are completely covered/protected). The feel of the bumper feels very minimalist, as close to the phone's original feel with a bumper (I've troed other bumpers), still feels like I am experiencing the phone itself without bulk...yes, without bulk. Wow. the bumper can slip in and out of the holster without too much effort, but still with some resistance to keep it secure. The holster clip rotates so you can wear it vertical or horizontal and the inside holster has some fuzzy padding to protect the iphone screen when you slip it inside the holster (so the screen faces inside the holster to protect it while in the holster). When I put it all together the thought came to me "I should buy an extra . . . but I see no need to as this holster will lasts for the life of the phone." I would buy another . . it is that good and I am that happy with it. (The only thing from the actual item from the photo is the holster clip is shown as unbranded, plain no brand name, the one that came has the brand name in white lettering on the clip itself, which is not a bad thing and no one can see the clip when it is clipped to you). The price, under $10, you cannot beat! Last, kickstand is also, snaps into place and it strands vertically, do not think it works horizontally, so on your table instead of it laying flat, it stands up vertically for you to look at. I have to say again, the bumper case when I hold it in my hand, it feels good, not bulky, as close as you can get to the original iphone feel with a bumper; I guess it is fairly thin, and comfortable to type with it on.

My advice to you . . . get yours before they are sold out, seriously, these are really nice and a good fit!

5Great case
By OctaviousMonk
This I the same case verizon sells for 3 times more. I had this on my iPhone 4S and love it so much I got one for my iPhone 5. Fits phone well, kick stand rocks, feels great in your hand and the holster keeps it right at the top of my pocket out of danger from keys and other stuff. Put a screen protecter on and your set. Highly recommend it.

5Real review of a great phone compared to 5s!
By Whitecraine
I got my phone through T-mobile's deal of $0 down and pay over 2 years. It's my first iphone switching from andriod. At first I was worried about missing out on the 5s features and that it would be quite small compared to HTC One and other Samsung phones, but I think it is the right size for convenient single hand usage. A bigger screen may be welcome in the future for better movies/gameplay/document viewing but it's certainly better than the 4s screen size.

I finally went to an Apple store to see the 5s that I "missed out" on. I found out I actually preferred the 5c to the 5s because of how comfortable it felt in hand and the slight additional weight of the 5c made it feel more substantial and durable. The 5s was also less comfortable to hold due to the sharp edges and felt "cheap" because of how light it was. I was also kind of turned off by how the 5s looks after being used for so long - the demo models were a bit scratched/grimy not very bright/shinny/attractive. On the other hand the 5c "ages" well. I also tested responsiveness and speed of the user interface and was not impressed. It was exactly the same as the 5c. Probably larger apps and other computation would load faster, but general things like scrolling through menus, opening webpages was no different. Next time I'll have to try something more graphics intensive and report back but it does say a lot about the 5c.

Functionality, speed and ergonomics are all there with the 5c. Another thing worth mentioning is that the 5c is the less "flashy" phone and that was important to me (at least the white version) since I am not looking to standout and since there are a lot of phone theft/muggings/robberies these days. So overall, I feel this phone fit my needs perfectly.

5Great iDevice
By Arthur J. Heller
I've always had relatively inexpensive smartphones, Blackberry knockoffs (the Alcatel things) and so on. Most of them had data access, but it most were rudimentary at best. I kept an iPod Touch around as an iOS device, and used it to take most of the pictures that I wanted to post on Facebook or wherever because the cameras in my phones were usually awful. Recently updated from an $80 Android device to an iPhone 5c, as the store was out of the 5s.

That said... the 5c is a solid, solid phone. It is identical, hardware-wise, to the iPhone 5, except that it's made out of plastic and has a better front-side camera (1.2 megapixels vs VGA). It is quick, and runs a huge variety of apps. The battery life is fantastic. I haven't had any difficulty getting data even when in the middle of nowhere, or wandering around the unexplored wastes of the New Jersey pine barrens. Voice control is a plus... though Siri is, er, interesting, the real benefit is being able to tell the phone "Call mom" or "Call laura" or something while you're driving, so you don't have to be fiddling around with buttons. Texting works the same way, you can tell it to "Text Mom" and then say the message and send it. Very cool, convenient features to have.

The plastic feels very good. I've heard reviews that said it felt cheap compared to the "real" iPhone, but in reality the plastic -- or, I'm sorry, polycarbonate -- is really strong and is far less prone to scratching and chipping than the glass or metal versions are. The physical buttons on the side are functional and feel responsive, even moreso than on the 4s or iPhone 5. The main camera takes amazing photos, has HDR functionality, and takes beautiful, 1080p, video.

The downside to the phone is the standard iPhone complaints. Namely, there's a lack of "openness", in that I have no access to the basic filesystem, and that anything I want on the phone has to be shunted through iTunes, including ringtones: I had to take an MP3 file of the sound I wanted, add it to iTunes, then convert it to a ringtone just to make it available in the "Tones" list, and THEN I could sync it to the phone. Likewise, it wants you to get all your pictures and stuff off either through iCloud or with iPhoto, but I use a third party piece of software that lets me access the device directly.

Another complaint I have is that, for contacts, it synced to the address book on my MacBook Pro... which is all fine and well, but then it also scraped through my Facebook account for information, which then left me with a bunch of people that I either never want to get in touch with, or double entries for those I do. Scrounging through my phone to try to find one person amongst a list of like 400, both contact and Facebook friend, is annoying at best.
