3Great Case
By Kaheem Hutchins
This a pretty cool case. It's lightweight and adds to the value of the phone. There is a spring in the flap that helps close the case. I read on other websites that the case causes the phone to turn on inadvertently -- I've had this case for about a day now and haven't experienced that yet. Even still, the case doesn't keep the phone lit for more than a few seconds when closed.

The caller ID is stunning, especially in dark environments.

Now to the bad. This case ain't protecting jack. It does not cover the right areas and doesn't encompass the phone entirely.

If you bend the flap back to do some texting, when it goes back to close it doesn't sit flat on the phone; it sits slighty ajar.

In direct sunlight consider the dots useless, as there is a film between the phone and top of the case that dulls the screens output. ***One Week In*** Completely useless in sunlight.

I believe that this case is so expensive because your paying for both the logical and physical components of this feature. Currently there isn't any support for anything besides the native apps, which moots the ease of access thing HTC is pushing. I'm sure in some update there will be some type of added functionality.

If you don't get the voice dialer right on the first try, the prompts will then require you to look at the screen.

When the screen is active and case is closed, The case provides time and weather, call details, and volume status.

This case is a true love hate. After many days of solid use, it's grown on me in a weird way.

The case refuses to sit completely flat. If you plan on watching a video and bending it completely backwards, you'll probably have to hand "crimp" the hinge to get the fold back to it's regular ajar state. After long periods of it folding back, it won't swing foward enough to turn the screen off (this is not a serious problem as it's a 2 second fix)

On really irregular/long names, it's not the easiest to read when someone calls you.

3Clever and impress your friends, but not very functional
By Charlie Whiton
Pros: Very clever display of time, weather and calls. Tech friends are all impressed, maybe even envious.
Cons: As a cover, it is not great. The flap over the face has a flimsy feel and doesn't seat nicely on the phone. As the other review said, if you have it bent backward to take a call or send a text, it flaps back and lands where it lands. Not like the magnetic iPad cover that has a super tight contact when closed.

The bent-backwards flap when calling\texting (or in my car holder) is a drag. This *might* change over time, but that would mean it is just gets more flimsy and stretched out (will update if this is true). The other option is taking the cover off when using the phone? There are lots of folding cover cases out there, possible I'm just the wrong user for them.

Separately - neither pro nor con - the rubbery grip definitely helps with the drop-ability of the M8, but now it is hard to get in my pocket.

Really want to like this cover, but so far not so much. Will likely end up with a case-mate 'barely there' slim case.

5Just got mine today, Love it.
By Tony
Got the gray one, wanted black but it was all that was in stock at the time. I'm loving not having to use the power button at all now. Just flip open the case, and bam, the screen is already on and ready. Cool to check the weather and time. Going to test out the call accepting/ silencing feature right now. So far so good with just about every aspect. I don't care that the case wants to flip shut all the time, I'd more more upset if it didn't stay closed. The price is a little higher than it needs to be. That's fine, I understand HTC is trying to get it together financially. So I'll pay a little more for the htc name on it. They're definitely trying here, and as quirky and nerdy as this may seem, I really like the idea and functionality of it. Good buy, would recommend for all you other nerds like me out there.
