First off, I am a mid-range ear-bud headphone snob, with my brand of choice being Ultimate Ears.
When I got my HTC One, I was so pleasantly surprised with the stock headphones (black ribbon cable with red ear buds), in terms of the rich sound and quality design. When I saw these for $10 each (sold by Wireless Extra) I jumped on the opportunity to stock up for a backup supply. I ordered 4 total and the packaging and build quality looked just like the HTC set that came with my phone - they looked and felt identical.
However, each set of these headphones sounded horrible - nothing close to the sound quality of the original HTC headset. Both the treble and bass lacked any type of richness. I did multiple tests to confirm on 3 of the 4 headsets - comparing a variety of songs vs. my original HTC headset.
The comparison can be compared to watching Standard Definition TV vs. BluRay or AM Radio compared to FM Radio.
** UPDATE (3-13-2014)
After reading other reviews about getting good versions of these HTC headphones, i decided to give it another shot - buying from a different seller than Wireless Extra. I placed the order from "A To Z Mobile" and these do sound just as good as the original HTC headphones. So, indeed it seems different sellers have different versions. With Amazon's good return policy, I think it's worth a shot. If the ones you get are horrible quality, then return them and buy from a different seller.
Changing my rating from 1 star to 3 stars, and advising to "use caution".
I hope future reviewers will list detail on which seller they bought theirs from.

Great headphones for the price. Comfortable and have good call clarity. I use these over my iPhone headphones every day.

I thank the seller for having these on stock as mine broke a while back. It was very hard finding other earphones that sounds as great as these OEM ones for my HTC One.
