3Good Quality, but keeps slipping out
By John Mccarron
The overall quality of the cable seems great. It's heavy duty while not being too rigid, but for some reason the Micro USB side keeps slipping out of my phone (partially). A co worker of mine has the same exact cable and doesn't have this problem with his phone, so maybe it's my phone's fault.

(Update)
Now that I've been contacted by Mediabridge's customer support, I have to say that this is the best experience that I've had buying something so small and simple. They found my review on here on Amazon, contacted me and sent me out a new replacement cable. I was willing to just let it go and cut my losses, but they actually contacted me. You can't get better than that!

5The right item for my kindle fire
By JB
I never give much importance to usb cables. However, after receiving my kindle fire and seeing that I would need such a cable to connect my kindle to my computer I set out for a search. I found so many cables listed some with outrageous prices so I said to myself I will order the least expensive one. I paid 2 dollars for the first one. It arrived and did not work I felt sheepish to say the least.
Back to amazon I go to order another. I saw this one for 6 dollars and prime eligible and wanting to make the most of my free month of prime membership ordered it. It arrived today and I plugged in my kindle fire to both my pc and mac and it works. What a great feeling. This cable feels very solid and it works with my kindle fire and I am now able to transfer my books/music/videos.
If you are looking for a well made cable that works for the kindle fire this is it.

1Great customer service, unfortunately the cord has inherent design defects
By H. George
I remember receiving the cord several months ago and being very pleased with the build quality and design. The cord seemed to be well made and well shielded. However, it was about a month later when the cord started having connectivity problems. I would have to attach it to the phone at just a certain angle before it would connect and charge. It was definitely the cord as the phone had no issues with other cords.

I was on my way to write a bad review, when I noticed that the company had commented with support information on each negative review. I called the support number and was pleased to see that a live person answered my call immediately and shipped me a replacement cord, no questions asked. Their customer service is excellent. Also, remember that the cord has a one year warranty.

I received a new cord within a few days and I was happy to give this company another go. The second cord worked perfectly for a few months then it, once again, started having the same issue again. It would not connect unless I held it slightly to the right and wrapped my cord around the phone to maintain the cord in that position. This was really annoying after a while and I called customer service again. I was happy to see that their service was just as good as my first time and they have agreed to ship me a replacement without much issue.

I am a little frustrated with having two cords fail on me, especially since I don't place a lot of strain on the cords, nor do I bend them or twist them in a way that should damage two cords. Any pressure exerted on the cord is just normal use. So I cut open the head to investigate.

I found that the inside was a rigid plastic that encapsulated the wires. This hard capsule does not apply the cord any flexibility and therefore creates a break when the line bends too much. I twisted the wire half-way down the line and I could see the red wire in the head move slightly away from the solder - enough to break the connection. I recommend a change in design that allows a little more flexibility inside the head and a more rigid head. I noticed that the head was too flexible and a turn left or right of the connection head would change the cord's position enough to sever the solder connection.

In short: great customer service, great exterior quality, poor inside connection design.

5Outstanding full featured mechanical keyboard
By DN
Unless you're looking for strictly a typist's keyboard, I think this is one of the best all-around mechanical keyboards. After spending considerable time researching mechanical keyboards, I purchased the Logitech G710+ because it was the only one which satisfied all of my criteria. After using the keyboard for four months, I maintain my initial 5 star rating.

PROS:
1) ALL full size keys use mechanical switches mechanical. If I'm spending $100, $120 or more on a keyboard, I don't want one with shortcuts (ex. some rubber dome switches for full size keys). Not every "mechanical" keyboard uses mechanical key switches, and those that do typically have a higher price because of the added expense. For me, it's worth the added cost in the long run.

2) DEDICATED medial controls (i.e. keys solely for volume control, etc.). This is an important feature for me. I use my volume controls daily. There's always some website that has an auto-play video at blaring volume. If I'm gaming and need to adjust the volume, I want to do so easily and instantly without distraction. Some mechanical keyboards use a combination keystroke (function key + other key or "FN+" for short) for media controls rather than dedicated keys. Better than nothing, but not nearly as good IMO. That fact alone was a major reason I chose this keyboard over others such as the Nighthawk X8.

3) Gaming/Macro keys ("G" Keys). These are very useful even if you don't game. Rather than have multiple rows, I prefer the 710+ "banks" since it's easier for me to remember which keys apply to what game/software. I can have a game on bank 1, an image editing program on bank 2 and so on.

4) Back-lighting. Backlighting is even for all keys, and every key is illuminated - even media keys. Lighting is VERY bright at the highest setting, but there are four levels of brightness (I use the third brightest) and an option to turn off lighting completely. FYI - because of the way the key caps attach to the MX mechanical key posts, only the top "symbol" of each key illuminates. For example, the "7" key on the numpad has the number 7 illuminates, but not "home" underneath. This isn't a product defect or design flaw per se, but rather a concession of using Cherry MX mechanical switches.

5) Cherry MX Brown key switches. Since I'm not a hard core gamer and do type quite a bit, I wanted mechanical switches which were good for typing as well as gaming. I wasn't able to test them prior to purchase, but figured that as a "hybrid" switch, MX Brown switches were a safe choice. They have about the same actuation force as MX Red switches, but feature an inaudible, soft (barely noticeable IMO) tactile bump. After extended use I find the Cherry MX Brown switches an excellent "all around" switch good for both gaming and typing.

6) 26 key rollover ability. I definitely want at least 6 key rollover ability, and the G710+ goes far beyond that. More than I'll ever need.

7) Sound dampening "O"-rings. While the switches are far from silent, the level of volume is noticeably reduced to a "reasonable" level (IMO). Had they not been installed, I am certain I would have purchased them promptly. So in that regard, it's like getting a $15-$20+ price cut. Good attention to detail by Logitech.

8) Excellent build quality. While some may have had problems with their G710+, mine arrived in flawless condition - not one scratch. I've had ZERO problems so far. The board is very solid, with a strong metal frame inside. Even non-mechanical keys/controls have a nice, solid feeling when used. Cherry MX mechanical switches are rated to last 50,000,000 keystrokes, and I'm quite confident this keyboard will last me for years.

9) Well designed layout and controls. The keys and other controls are arranged in a compact, but not crowded design. I honestly can't think of a better overall layout. I find the spacing to be "just right." Close enough to where everything is in easy reach, but not so close that I routinely hit the wrong key or control. I've read user complaints that the G Keys being too close to the ESC key, but there's at least a full key width of space between them. Certainly the same issue is present with similar keyboards like the Corsair K90 & K95. Maybe because I don't' use ESC that often, but I have yet to hit "G1" by mistake.

CONS:
1) The markings on top row number keys (e.g. "1/!," "2/@," "3/#," etc.) are reversed. So "1" is on top of "!", "2" on top of "@", etc. The same is true for other dual function keys such as question mark, comma, period and quote keys. The reason is the way LED lighting works for the Cherry MX switches. Logitech reversed the positions so that the default/non-shift symbol is backlight rather than the shift function. I'm still not completely used to it, but to be fair, I not sure I'd prefer the standard markings unless I turned off the backlighting. Worst case scenario, if it bothers me enough, I'll just replace the key caps.

2) Originally, my biggest complaint was the orange colored border for the G Keys. I still find the color garish and Logitech's decision to use that color unfathomable, but it doesn't bother as much as I thought it would. Once the warranty expires I may paint it black.

3) It requires two USB connections (one for the keyboard and one for the USB port). While I was able to rearrange USB connections to my I/O panel to accommodate the G710+, I now have no free USB I/O ports. Other mechanical gaming keyboards offer all-key rollover plus a built in USB port, yet require only ONE USB cable. I'll never use the keyboard's USB port anyway (3 USB front panel ports sufficient). Making the 2nd USB cable connection detachable (and USB 3.0) would have been a much better design.

4) Mechanical switch keys typically have more space between compared to rubber domed keyboards. Not a fault of the G710+ per se, but the fact remains I was surprised how easy dust/dirt/etc. accumulated under the keycaps. Dust isn't so bad to clear out with compressed air, but anything larger (crumbs, etc.) frequently requires removing one or more keycaps before cleaning. This is not a snack friendly keyboard.

5) No keycap puller included. Some, if not most, higher priced mechanical keyboards include a keycap puller, albeit usually the cheaper "o" ring with two prongs type). I highly recommend anyone owning a mechanical keyboard to buy a keycap puller like this one (http://www.amazon.com/Generic-KEYCAP-PULLER/dp/B0036UQSJ8/ref=sr_1_sc_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1359068321&sr=1-1-spell&keywords=meckanical+keycap+puller). It's a couple dollars more than the cheaper type, but worth the extra money. It's very easy to use with less risk of damage since you can pull directly up rather than level out a keycap.

6) The included palm/wrist rest is worthless. Completely non-ergonomic (you want your wrists parallel when typing, not angled upwards) and cheap looking compared the keyboard. It is optional (not installed by default) so not a "con" unless you plan on using it.

RATING: 5/5. After four months of use, I still like this keyboard a lot and maintain my 5 star rating. It's not perfect (what is?), but the "pros" easily outweigh the cons. I definitely recommend the Logitech G710+ to anyone interested in a mechanical keyboard - even non gamers unless they simply do not want MX Brown switches. For those who insist upon a linear mechanical switch such as Cherry MX Red or Black switches, I strongly suggest they consider the Corsair K95. It's quite similar to the G710+ in terms of features and layout, but uses Cherry MX Red instead of Brown Switches.

4Great keyboard after backlight drama
By Chris Chalmers
After backlight failures on two of these keyboards consecutively I just about gave up on it. Apparently Logitech has fixed the problem, however, and Amazon now sells the updated product (same model, different part number). I bought a third one and it's been working fine for two weeks. If this problem is really fixed then the one substantial con for this keyboard is gone - make sure you consult the most recent reviews for this keyboard because many of the negative reviews refer to the backlight problem in the old version.

Conclusion after all the complications: great keyboard.

Pros:
-Browns feel great.
-Dedicated, unobtrusive media controls.
-Programmable keys (I use them primarily to launch common applications like Pandora).
-Adjustable backlight with a very bright maximum setting.
-Gorgeous, plenty of eye candy (orange flare around G-keys, grey/silver WASD and arrow keys, adjust the backlight independently for WASD and arrow keys).
-Generous surface area on the rubber feet.

Cons:
-The center plate has a glossy finish, advertising prints and dust.
-The caps lock etc lights do not have adjustable brightness and stay at the level of the maximum backlight setting all the time.
-The backlight doesn't diffuse well in the keycaps, leaving the edges of long-named keys dark
-If you look straight down at the keyboard (not something most people will ever do) you'll notice that some of the keycaps are rotated slightly. A quick glance at the keycaps reveals that it's the plastic '+' socket in the key that is twisted. This has been true on all three keyboards I've receive; it was always about five keys, but different keys each time.

Other thoughts:
All keys come fitted with rubber O-rings. I didn't like them so I removed them - took a couple minutes, no big deal.
The keyboard is remarkably thick so the keys end up pretty high off the surface you're working on. I normally don't use wrist rests but I have to with this keyboard.

Update:
I contacted Logitech and a representative over there said that a new version of this keyboard is in production that does not have the backlight problem. I then contacted Amazon and a representative there did an inventory check and told me they are now selling the fixed version of the keyboard, so I bought a third one. This one has been working fine for the last two weeks.

The fix appeared to involve changing the LEDs behind the keys to be slightly dimmer and a slightly different shade of white (a little more yellow). Unfortunately the light from the new LEDs doesn't diffuse well in the keycaps so keys with long names like enter and caps lock are only lit in the center and the light fades away near the edges. I compared the old (dysfunctional) keyboard to the new one and this problem is much more pronounced on the new one.

5Excellent mechanical keyboard with useful gaming features
By A. H.
I've used gaming mice for years and have consistently been impressed by Logitech's quality in that field. The G710+, Logitech's latest gaming keyboard, holds up that tradition of quality and offers several worthwhile features for gamers.

First off, this is not an inexpensive keyboard by any stretch. It uses mechanical switches, which are incredibly responsive and durable. Mechanical switch keyboards are favored by many people who do coding and gaming for their responsiveness and durability. This is an incredibly comfortable keyboard for typing. I find it preferable to my Logitech Illuminated Keyboard, my prior favorite. Although the G710+ is somewhat louder, it isn't as loud as some IBM-style mechanical keyboards I've used in the past.

The keyboard comes with a detachable plastic palm rest and includes the standard height-adjusting legs in the back for those who prefer their keyboards to sit at more of an angle.

The keyboard also features a USB 2.0 port on the back, just to the right of the keyboard's wire. Be forewarned, however, that this passthrough USB port requires that you use two USB ports on your computer when you're hooking up the keyboard. The keyboard's wire has two "male" USB connectors at its end, one for the keyboard input and the other serving essentially as a USB extension cord to the port on the back of the keyboard. I found the keyboard's additional USB port useful when hooking up my headset rather than hooking it up to the ports on the front of my Lian Li tower case. (I built my own PC.) Some might find it disappointing that the port doesn't support USB 3.0, but most peripherals you're likely to plug into a gaming keyboard, such as a headset, just don't require that much speed.

The layout of the keyboard is familiar with one minor quibble. The keys sometimes invert the characters. In other words, the key with the "=" sign on it shows the = sign above the + sign. This is the opposite of most keyboards. This is part of the keyboard's illumination scheme. The numbers and many of the punctuation marks are all illuminated but positioned above the characters that one usually accesses with the SHIFT key. It's not a huge deal for touch typists, but some might find it confusing. It throws me off if I look at the keyboard when I'm typing. (NOTE: More punctuation keys on the sample I received are inverted than are shown in the product pictures here. For example, on the sample I received, the period and comma are respectively above the "less than" and "greater than" signs. Double quotation marks are below the single quotation marks, etc. I do not know if the sample I received is typical in terms of that layout. The product pictures do show that the number keys invert the characters.)

As for the illumination, it is quite bright in its high setting. The keys are clearly etched and are easy to read, even when the lights are on. The illumination brightness is adjustable via a dedicated pair of keys above the F11 and F12 keys. One adjusts the brightness of the ASDW and cursor arrow keys, and the other adjusts the brightness of the remaining keys. This is a neat feature that people who play first person shooters might appreciate if they only want to light up the ASDW keys in a darkened room while playing an atmospheric game like Dead Space.

The keyboard features basic audio controls, including a volume wheel and a mute button.

There is a row of six dedicated macro "G" keys on the far left. Using Logitech's gaming keyboard software (available from their website), you can use several preexisting profiles for popular games to assign functions to those keys. For example, I play a lot of Team Fortress 2, which is in Logitech's profile database. The gaming software found that game on my PC and allowed me to map out various in-game functions to the macro keys.

You can also program macros directly into the keyboard by using the M keys on the top row on the left side. These keys allow you to program and assign up to three macros to each G key. You just hit the MR key, hit the relevant G key, and then type the keys to record to that macro. Hit the MR key again, and you've got your macro. If you hit the G key and then hit the M2 or M3 key, you can add the second and third macros to that key.

The keyboard features a dedicated key that will switch off the Windows key and Menu key when you're playing games. Although this can also be done via software, it's nice to be able to keep accidental keystrokes on those keys from bouncing you out of intense firefights, etc., and into the Windows menu, an incredibly frustrating situation. The key has an LED indicator near the top right of the keyboard to show when you've disabled the Windows key and Menu key.

The keyboard's aesthetics are fairly basic, with the G710+ logo printed in a few places on the side bevels and above the cursor arrow keys. There is an orange plastic frame around the G keys that I could live without, but your mileage may vary.

In gaming situations, the keyboard works really well, and it's a vast improvement over my Illuminated Keyboard, which was an excellent keyboard in its own right. I'm able to execute series of moves in TF2 and Crysis 2 without any input issues at all. No ghosting or anything.

In all, I'd say this is an excellent keyboard for people who enjoy gaming and have the money to spend. You can get comparably functional gaming keyboards for less, but the mechanical keys here make this an investment that's likely to last a long time.

My only quibble is that I wish they hadn't inverted so many of the depicted characters and their SHIFT alternate characters on the keys. It wouldn't be so bad if they'd permitted you to have the illumination shift when you hit the shift key so you didn't ever have to remember what character you were going to get.

In all, highly recommended.

5Great product, Great price, Great delivery!
By Yeo
I just bought a printer, and as usual, there was no USB cable accompanying it. I looked around for USB cables that were around 6 to 10 feet long because the location of my printer is some way from my laptop. This was one of the most affordable ones that I found and it worked without a hitch. Customers buying USB printer connection cables need to find out if the connection requires a male and female contact point (most of the time it is the case), which is exactly what this cable provides. As expected, when I started printing, scanning, and faxing from my computer, all went well.

I also want to make a small comment about the delivery. I expected this product arrive in the Amazon brown box with the cable in a plastic bag thrown within it. The delivery service was actually great from Amazon, and for better insulation and protection, the cable was shipped in a fitting Mediabridge box within the Amazon brown box. So, unlike some third-party sellers on Amazon, I think that its worth highlighting this to other fellow online shoppers about such positive collateral delivery benefits if purchasing from Mediabridge through Amazon. Hope you found this review useful.

5Ready To Go
By Mark Barrett
I purchased this cable to connect a second printer to my computer. The cable arrived in an easy to open plastic bag instead of the Fort Knox-like hard plastic shell packages. After undoing a couple of twist ties I was ready to go.

The set-up was 30 seconds with no way to make a mistake with which end for the printer and which one for the computer. I printed a page and the copy spit right out, so all was good.

5Excellent cable for the price
By Bejay in Spring
Before I purchased this HDMI cable for my Roku XDS I shopped around first at nearby Walmart and Best Buy, and read some reviews for this product. I'm a retired electrical engineer and do not believe on going overboard, spending more than adequate to get a good result on audio and video component. There are cables in the market that are priced too high to get the money out of those people who are willing to pay the price. Those people always believed that if the price is high, the product must be very good. For digital signal transmission, this HDMI cable is more than adequate. My video and audio were not degraded, and I did not notice any lost of clarity either on video or audio signal.

4A bit difficult to maneuver
By Sadie
I hooked this braided HDMI cable between my HDTV and my computer to stream video from the internet to my HDTV. The picture is clear and the sound quality is very good. I don't see any difference while using this cable from computer to HDTV than I do when watching TV directly from my satellite box. The only problem I have with this cable is that it is very thick due to the braiding, which makes it hard to turn. I need to plug it into one side of my HDTV, loop it around the back of the TV and bring it out on the other side where I place my computer out of tripping range. The thickness of the cable makes it hard to loop around and it's heavier than the other cables I have. This cable would probably be best for professional use where there might be heavy usage and plugging and unplugging of the cord. It will probably stand the test of time and constant movement easier than the regular smooth vinyl cables. But, for normal home use, the vinyl cables are easier to handle.

For anyone who has not used an HDMI cable and is new to HDTV, this cable can be used to hook up your cable box, DVD or Blu Ray disc player, computer, Wii, sound system and whatever else you have that has an HDMI cable connector. You do not need to use separate audio cables as this beauty steams everything through it. It's super simple to use - just plug it in to your HDTV and plug the other end into the other component and play. I suggest getting HDMI cables for each separate component so you don't have to pull out the DVD cable to plug in your computer.

5HDMI 1.4/1.3x cable, get full support from Amazon
By A. Dent
WHO NEEDS IT?

This wire should work well with anything that supports HDMI 1.3x but it's built to comply with the higher HDMI 1.4 standard. You may consider this product if you have TWO devices that support HDMI 1.4. For these, the cable will carry through HD images and Ethernet data therefore eliminating the need for one dedicated Ethernet cable and one Ethernet port. Again, on a pair of connected HDMI 1.4 devices, it will eliminate the need of a dedicated audio cable if, let's say, your TV needs to send sound back to your receiver - it may have a built-in Blu/DVD player or get its input through an USB port. You may also consider this cable if you currently need an extra HDMI 1.3 cable but you are planning to to replace your existing equipment with some HDMI 1.4 ready hardware in the near future.

As far as HDMI 1.4 stands, this cable is 'it'. It's the complete implementation because it supports ALL HDMI 1.4 features.

HOW GOOD IS IT?

- Behaves as a HDMI 1.3x 'high speed' or 'category 2' cable.
- As a 'high speed' HDMI 1.4 cable, it supports video resolutions of at least 1080p and can go as high as 4K.
- The 'data channel' (Ethernet support) works only with HDMI 1.4 ready equipment.
- The 'audio return channel' is another feature supported by HDMI 1.4 ready equipment only. It will allow for audio to be sent 'back' from, let's say a TV to the HDMI 1.4 compliant receiver, therefore eliminating the need for a dedicated audio cable.
- It should support all the HDMI 1.4 extra color palettes because those are implemented by the HDMI 1.4 compliant connected equipment.

You may want to get this cable even if your equipment is not HDMI 1.4, it doesn't hurt to get a wire that supports a higher standard and, with free shipping the price difference is not that great. And, keep in mind that Amazon stands behind this product so returns should be easy.

END OF REVIEW

______________________________________________________

What follows is the byproduct of me attempting to clarify 'HDMI 1.4' for myself and understanding this specific product's features. I thought I'd share.

WHAT'S IN A NAME? (understanding this cable's features)

- HDMI 1.4 is a new HDMI standard adopted in 2009, backward compatible with HDMI 1.3. This cable should work with your existing equipment.
- HIGH SPEED indicates that this cable supports resolutions of 1080p or higher and 3D video (unlike the HDMI 1.4 STANDARD cables which, believe it or not, are limited to 720p/1080i - why? nobody knows).
- ETHERNET means that this cable supports a full-duplex 100 Mb/sec Ethernet connection - if you have 2 HDMI 1.4 ready devices and they both need an network connection, this cable will carry through the Ethernet datastream to the second device, therefore saving you the need for one extra Ethernet cable.
- Audio Return Channel is a feature that would save you the need of a dedicated audio cable between 2 HDMI 1.4 compliant devices.
- This cable should support the full set of 3D features found in the new TVs.

THE HDMI 1.4x DIFFERENCE

HDMI 1.4 allows for the following new features:

- Ethernet Channel - allows for the 2 connected devices to communicate with each other and share one network connection.
- Audio Return Channel - eliminates the need of a second cable if you want to send audio from your TV back to your receiver.
- 3D - It's supported by HDMI 1.3x but HDMI 1.4a specifically supports all the currently agreed-upon industry standards
- 4K resolution - good to have it but there is nothing on today's market that would take advantage of this
- Expanded support for new color spaces - by supporting sYCC601, AdobeRGB, and AdobeYCC601 it better aligns your display with the color spaces supported by digital cameras.
- Type D connector - the 'Micro' connector is to be used by small, portable devices with supported resolutions of up to 1080p.

The HDMI Consortium defines 4 broad types of HDMI 1.4 cables:

* Standard HDMI Cable
* High Speed HDMI Cable
* Standard HDMI Cable with Ethernet
* High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet

Of the above, only the 'High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet' (this one) makes sense and it's likely to emerge as the common HDMI 1.4 cable.

Standard cables are limited to lower-resolution displays up to (approx. 720p or 1080i). High Speed cables support higher-resolution display (e.g. 1080p). They can deliver all video content currently defined for the HDMI standard (i.e. more than two 1080p/60 video streams, including 3D). HDMI cables with Ethernet are capable of sending 100/mbps over the HDMI Ethernet Channel. Since it is not likely that many HDMI 1.4 'standard' cables will be made or sold, I suspect that the crippled 'standard' type exists only to allow for calling the cables that support 1080p 'high speed' which sounds good and high-end.

5Good value, and I like the end connectors
By A. King
OK, not much you can say about a cable, unless you get one that is bad or "flakey" from a problem with the shield, as we read from a previous posting.

I recently upgraded my HDTV system and now have a HDTV, Blue-ray, and Receiver that supports the HDMI 1.3 spec. This spec enables new high bandwidth features previously not supported in older HDMI cables and equipment. Both the Blue-ray and the HDTV, and my Roku-Netflix box are firmware upgradeable, so this cable should support their enhancements for at least a couple of years.

Being the quintessential anal-retentive Electrical Engineer, I tend to over analyze everything (even if not required). When buying cables (typically, the weak link in most systems), you have to determine if the product is manufactured from a reputable vendor, or built by a couple of guys in their garage, with no quality control. Mediabridge Products is a subsidiary of Broadband Products, Inc. Broadband Products has HDMI certification (see hdmi.org for why this is important).

There are two types of HDMI cable, Standard (Category 1) and High Speed (Category 2), and they have different performance metrics. A Standard cable can transmit a 1080i signal for 15 meters (49 feet) or more, while a High Speed HDMI cable can transmit a 1080p signal for at least 7.5 meters (25 feet). For the most part, running cables less than 5 meters, either will work, but I want to make sure and this cable is Category 2.

Why did I buy this specific cable from this vendor: The vendor has an almost perfect feedback record, the product is low cost for the specs, fulfilled by Amazon, and importantly free shipping, and a return policy that pays the shipping for returns/exchanges of defects.

5The best HDMI cables you can buy, at amazing prices
By J. Martin
So far I have bought a total of four HDMI cables, in lengths ranging from 3' to 15'. I bought the 3' cable first. It was made by Philips and sold by the most gigantic of all gigantic discount Marts. It worked fine, and it would have been long enough except it was so stiff I could never straighten it out completely. I returned it.

I did some research on Amazon and found these Mediabridge cables with astounding user ratings and amazingly reasonable prices. Not the sub-dollar junk you can also find here, but less than one third the big-box price of the Philips cables in equivalent lengths. I bought two of the 6' cables to connect my two 1080p upconverting DVD players (a Sony 5-disc changer and a Philips region-free single-disc for playing foreign DVDs) to my wonderful (and cheap) AOC HDTV.

I was a little reluctant to buy 6' cables because I only really needed 3', and I know cable length can be tricky with very high-speed signals, but since the Philips 3' wasn't actually usable to that length, and I didn't want to have to return these, I ordered 6'. They work like a dream. They're as flexible as cooked spaghetti and transmit the signals without a single glitch.

Then I bought a new HP laptop with an HDMI output, but to work comfortably the cable had to be longer than 6'. I figured I'd go all the way and order the 15', since it's only marginally more expensive and would allow me to use the HDTV easily for watching streaming movies from Netflix. This cable also works like a dream.

My TV only has two HDMI inputs, so I do a fair amount of plugging and unplugging, with no signs of reliability problems so far. I highly recommend these Mediabridge HDMI cables--in any length--to anybody needing one.

I'm also very impressed with Mediabridge itself. Each cable comes very nicely packaged individually in a sturdy corrugated box, which is put into a larger box for shipping, and they ship quickly directly to the customer. What a relief not to have to saw through a hard plastic shell to get the product out! It's an impressive company. PLUS, they're an American company, and although I don't know if they manufacture the cables domestically, they're unafraid to print their New Jersey street address right on the box.

5Does what's expected, honest pricing
By A. Dent
Just in case someone may feel guilty for not paying a lot more for, basically the same thing, let's look at our top of the line offer, Monster HDMI 1000HD Ultra-High Speed HDMI Cable (2 meters) and do a quick comparison.

This item supports the HDMI 1.3b standard which is almost as good as it gets (1.3c doesn't add anything special). Any HDMI 1.3 cable can carry up to 10.2 Gbit/s. Hmmm... I suppose the Monster is much better, right? Well... it "guarantees a certified cable bandwidth of 10.2" Okay, but the Monster also supports "x.v.Color, and Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD". It turns out that, all of the above, and more, are part of the HDMI 1.3 specs and they are fully supported by every cable that complies to the standard and can be had for about 90% less in the Mediabridge. The expensive brand presentation simply enumerates the HDMI 1.3 specs as if it being HDMI 1.3 compliant was a really big deal. It is not a big deal. Even a cable that costs 95% less is HDMI 1.3 compliant.

My suggestion: if you think that the proponents of the expensive brand have a point when they claim that their product is a lot more durable, buy TWO Media Bridge wires and still pay almost 80% less than you would pay for one of the expensive ones.

My personal experience: I've never paid 'a lot' for an HDMI cable because it makes no sense to pay more. I took home one of the 'expensive' ones once because the salesman promised to take it back if I wasn't amazed by the difference. It made zero difference and I returned it.
