5Works perfectly
By Matt
Please disregard the other reviews, they are for the outdated models. When you order this you will get the ihas 124b, not A or Y. I ordered one for myself my dad and a friend of mine bought one as well. They all work perfectly. Note, if your looking for smart erase, this drive doesn't have it. Also note, smart erase destroys your disc, it does not make it so you can rewrite data to the disc. If you werep looking at this but was turned away by the reviews, buy it.

5This is the B revision. Works perfectly for XDG3 XBox 360 backups!
By JMH
This drive was a B revision manufactured in August 2011. After installing the Burner Max firmware this drive handled burning of XDG3 backup discs flawlessly. Highly recommended!

5Very happy with this DVD player!
By Josie Whales
I am very happy with this purchase. It's fairly light weight and easy to use. I did find, however, that in pushing the buttons to make it work is like clicking the buttons on a cheap kids toy. Have to use the remote control for volume control. Has good sound especially when using ear phones. So all in all, I am very happy with it.

5upgrade from avh-p1400dvd
By Jerry Fang
I've upgrade from the low end avh-p1400dvd to this avh-x4600bt and what a difference it made. The sound is more clearer and my subs hits hard, thanks to the 4v pre-amp. Bluetooth is amazing. I can stream music from my Rooted Note 2 via bluetooth. I can control Pandora and browse media off my SD card. Everything about this deck is awesome. I am saving up to get the dedicated mirrorlink adapter from Pioneer so I can mirror my Note 2 on the screen and have full control. Why spend $400 for a pioneer gps module when you can mirror ur android and use the gps on ur android phone. cheaper. I highly recommend this 7in indash dvd to anyone.

4great unit
By Dan
Works and looks great in my GMC Sierra 2500
Fits well without any extra trim, just needed to fabricate mounting brackets. Would be 5 stars if wiring was not so extensive and a little easier. Also wish pioneer would make their products a little more android friendly. Stop trying to cram apple down our throats. Mix trax seemed really cool...but only works with apple products. Blutooth and hands free phone works well with droid razr max hd.
All in all a good unit

5Exactly what I was looking for!
By Abhijit Pani
I spent a weekend to replace the factory HU on my 2007 Honda Pilot EX-L with this baby. I also installed an ASWC-1 for my steering wheel controls. I installed a wireless backup camera as well. End result is, it's been a fantastic experience for last few weeks.

Pros:
Sound quality is far better than the factory HU even with the factory speakers.
Pandora integration works well.
The bluetooth works flawlessly. It connects to my iphone and starts playing music from where it stopped last time. Making and receiving phone calls is fun (I mounted the mic on the rear view mirror).
It plays DVDs flawlessly and the DVD menu is touch-enabled.

Cons:
Lost active noise cancellation feature from factory HU. (Not a big deal though, I don't feel a difference in road noise level)
You will need an amp to power the factory subwoofer.
Need to spend another $100 on additional cables for AppRadio support.

This unit does NOT come with HD Radio & XM Satellite. I am more a pandora lover so it does not matter to me.

4Great for the car
By Rob
My wife and I really shopped around for a DVD player for our car. We took a chance with this one because there was no reviews on it. I have to say that chance really paid off for us. Here is why we decided to go with this one:

1. Brand recognition. We could have went with a couple other names, but I have known RCA for being decent. Maybe not the best but good enough for me.

2. Remote controls. This is the number one reason why we went with this one. The first one we had didn't come with remotes and we found it to be a real pain if you have to skip sections, stop, play, and all other normal functions you would use with a DVD player. Because we don't want the kids to get out of their seats while driving this is really ideal and highly recomended. Our children are also too young to understand the controls. The different colors make it easy to determine which control works for what player.

3. Two independent players or able to view the same movie on both. The original one we purchased only had one player. With two kids you never know what they are going to watch. This solves the problem when they both want to watch different things. The other reason is for back-up purposes. I have read in many reviews that the dvd player breaks after a while...well with two, if one goes down during a long drive, your not at a complete loss because you can use the other.

The one con with this player is the fact that it doesn't remember where the DVD left off if your in the middle of a movie and you shut your car off. This may bother some people but the fact is on long drives your not going to stop every half hour...more like every two or three hours. The average movie is around two hours so it's unlikely this is going to be a major problem during those drives. Unless you plan to use the DVD player for every little drive, this really isn't that big of a deal.

Other than that this DVD player is perfect for what we intend to use it for.

3Works OK but could be a lot better
By Ellis Moose
I was in the market for something to entertain my small kids on drives, particularly during our long daily commute to work (where their daycare is located). This appeared to fit the bill. Indeed it did do the job, but it could be a lot better.

PROs:
- The system was very easy to set up. So long as you aren't worried about hiding cords, it only really takes minutes to get this up and working.
- The system is relatively easy to operate. You can have both screens showing the same movie, or each watching something different. Switching between the two settings is very easy.
- The picture and sound were adequate for our sedan.
- We never had a reliability problem.

CONs:
- Many people will be buying this for small children. If your kids are too little to be trusted with operating the unit themselves, the system doesn't work well. For one, as mentioned in other reviews, everytime you stop the car (even if you leave the key in the aux position) the movie completely restarts when you restart the car. This becomes a problem when the person in the front seat (not the kids in back) has to wade through the menu and get the movie back to where it was (supremely frustrating if you're dealing with a Disney movie... parents, you know what I'm talking about). Equally frustrating is that, while the system comes with remotes, you must be directly in line with the sensor to get them to work. In other words, only the kids in the back can really get the remote to work. In our case, that won't work because the kids are too little to figure out the remote buttons. Bottom line you end up reaching behind the headrest from the passenger seat and trying to hit buttons without being able to see them or what's on the screen. There is no tactile indicator on the buttons to let you know which is which by feel, so you really have to go off of experience. There is also no 'menu' button on the unit. It only exists on the remotes. The front seat occupants will NOT be able to get the remote to work while remaining seatbelted in the front... no matter how much yoga you practice.
- The unit's cord are hard to hide in order to give you a clean look. The way they plug in makes the unit easy to set up but also hard to make look clean. Also, my two year old son liked to kick the cords out of the monitor with his feet.
- The headrest strap is really just one long strip of velcro strap. It works but it doesn't make for an overly secure fit. Also if you have tapered headrests, you'll find it hard to get it to work great. We had to loop it around the metal headrest posts instead of the actual headrest.
- As I mentioned previously, the unit is easy to install. It isn't SO easy to install that you'll want to take it down and put it away every time you get out of the car. That would just be too much of a hassle. On the other hand, it is easy enough to get out of the car quickly to be enticing to a thief. That is exactly what happened to us. The first time we forgot to lock the car (after having this for about 1.5 years), it was gone in a heartbeat.

We are now looking for a replacement unit and will probably NOT get another RCA. We need a system that is easier to operate from the front seat. If your back seat passengers are old enough to operate this independantly and you don't make frequent stops, this unit should work for you just fine and is very cost effective.

If anyone knows of a similar dvd system that remembers where in the movie it left off when you turn off the car, please let me know via the comments here.

5Fantastic for long trips.
By Brian Weidow
I had no problem with setting up the RCA cables to each other. or mounting it to the back of the head rest. It was very easy to use. Best of all remotes are NOT interchangeable! The remotes are color coded to their prospective dvd player. So during a trip you will not hear .... Dad! He keeps messing up my movie. And as long as you have power to the players it will remember where the movie was last stopped. Cannot say enough how fantastic the picture and sound is. I'm so glad I got it for our 16hr round trip to Rhode Island. Never knew the kids where there. :).

5Excellent quality EZ to install
By Lar Ray
Purchased to go under tv and hide wires. Wanted something sturdy and quality. Beyond expectations. Very sturdy, excellent quality... EZ to install. 4 screws and you are up. Put shelves on which also attach securely. hides wires. Looks beautiful.

Highly recommend. By the way it does not stick out very far at all. From the shelf back edge to the wall maybe .5 inches.

Buy it! Priced very right also...

5Awesome
By Amazon Customer
Bought two sets of these before a big family road trip, dont think we would have made it without them. Kids all loved them and the video play is awesome. Id suggest buying headphones to go with them and maybe some sort of extension for the power cords because they are a tad short.

3Good but not great...
By Asha Conley
Bought this for use in our minivan to keep the kids entertained. Pros: The screen resolution is good, clear picture, volume is loud enough. I like that when you turn the car off, the DVD picks up from where it left off when you come back. Cons: straps that hold the screen to the headrest are not very secure (I have a Honda Odyssey minivan), the buttons are hard to reach when the player is on the headrest such that you have to fiddle with the player just to reach the buttons or unstap it. The remote has no volume button, it does not have a rechargeable battery. The deal breaker for us was how the two screens have to be connected by a cable which hangs awkwardly between the two players such that the kids have to go under them or around them to get in and out of the van. In fact between the connection cables and the cable going into the car adaptor, that was too many cables! I sent then back.

5Good little basic machine that sets up in a snap
By PT Cruiser
I purchased this Samsung DVD player to replace a Sony DVP-SR200P/B DVD Player that only lasted about a year and a half without heavy use. I'm hoping that I will have better luck with this one. So far it is working perfectly and it was super easy to connect to an old TrueTech 19 inch TV/monitor used to watch DVD' s. The remote is smallish but I think it fits well with this player. It measures just under 5 inches long by just over 1 1/2 inches wide. It's a basic remote but then it's a basic machine. It handles anything it needs to do. The buttons are very responsive to the touch.

First impressions are that movies load and start playing faster than with the Sony. Setup is just a matter of connecting the included A/V cables to the back of the unit which was clearly marked and to your TV or monitor. Then just pop 2 AAA batteries (not included) into the remote and you're ready to go, simple as that. The compact size of the player (8.2 x 11.8 x 1.7 inches) makes it easy to tuck into small spaces. It has a USB slot in the front where it's easy to access. It plays MPEG-2/4, WMV, and JPEG video formats formats and MP3, Dolby Digital, and DTS Surround audio. It only weighs about 2 1/2 pounds so it's easy to carry or move around. All in all this seems like a good little player that will do everything I need it to do and at a reasonable price.

Update 1/22/14 - This DVD player has been working just fine with daily use. No problems at all.

4Excellent little DVD Player!
By Sandy Zaro
The Samsung DVD-E360 Player is just perfect for our needs.

It set up with our Samsung TV in seconds-NO EXTRA CABLES NEEDED- and is very easy to operate.

THE DVD PLAYER DOES NOT HAVE AN HDMI CABLE CONNECTION SLOT-Amazon should not have combined this player with the HDMI cable.

The player is for our 2nd TV that does not have Netflix - (no fancy DVD player for us-our other TV is "Smart")

The only drawback is the very small remote - but otherwise it's Great.

4Eventually worth some frustrations
By Elmer M. Cranton
Caution: This hardware is powered only through the USB-2 port. USB-2 ports are notorious for being underpowered, especially on laptops or if not attached directly and closely to the computer motherboard, without a bridge, not a shared port, and not with an excessively long cable, etc. This may explain some of the problems reported by others. If your hardware and operating sysem match the manufacturers requirements, you may have no problems at all. Some users report a seamless and sucessful insatllion. Not the case with me, even with a good port and adequate power.

I had a frusrating time installing, but it eventually works OK and as as advertised.
I have a powerful desktop system, far exceeding manufacturer's stated requirements, operating under Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit version. After multiple attempts to install and connect with the device, I share the following.

The driver on the installation CD was out of date. After a failed installation, uninstall, multiple attempts to reinstall,I found it necessary to uninstall totally, do use a registry clean utility to delete many registry entries not removed and not deregistered by uninstall, and start fresh with an updated driver downloaded from the manufacturer's website.

The following procedure eventually worked. DO NOT connect the VIDBOX to the USB cable until step 4 below.
1) download manufacturer's latest driver from online and install this first, before an anything else. Then reboot.
2) Check "Device Manager" to insure that "HT VIDBOX" is installed and working normally under "Sound, Video, Game Controllers."
3) Install software from CD that came with the product. Then reboot again.
4) Only after the above do you connect the USB-2 to the VIDBOX.

Hopefully, that will sucessfujlly get the VIDBOX connected to your computer video/audio input

The sound card or system sound settings may require adjustments to record the sound properly, without clicks, squeals, whirring sounds, etc., depending on your setup.

Do not open or use any other application on the computer while capturing and recording video or video may get jumpy.

Once sucessfully installed and connected, this product worked for me as advertised. In the "Advanced Editing" mode I found that the merge/render function was quite slow, even on a powerful system, and I could not find a way to save a DV-AVI file for editing with other software. The editor provided was not very intuitive and quite limited.

Despite that above comments, I do not know of another capture product that will perform as well, especially not at this price, so it may be worth any potential frustrations. And you may have no problems at all!

5Good Product
By Dave Jones
I received this product May 3rd. I had it working in about 5 minutes. It comes with all the necessary wires, one to connect to the vcr (rca cable) and one to connect via usb to your computer.

No need for a tv in the mix, just a pc, a vcr and the device in the middle.

The software installed easily and is simple to use.

I have already saved several old VHS tapes of family gatherings and such.

This is a good product.

5Honestech VHS to DVD 7.0 Deluxe
By John Cockrell
I have a ton of old VCR tapess that go back into the early 1990's and need to convert them to digital format for burning to DVD. My choices were to outsource this at $10 per tape, purchase a VCR to DVd recorder (about $210.00), or take a chance on software. For the cost of the program, I figured there was not much risk in trying the software first. The beginning of the installation process was ok, but the program did not work after registration. It appeared that another option was going to be necessary. However; I kept digging around, and determined that the driver for the interface (a little white box which comes with the software) between my VCR machine and the laptop did not come with the installation disk. Worse, this problem was not disclosed in the installation instructions, so luckily I was tech savy enough to eventually figure it out myself. Go to the product website, sift thru the various drivers available, and find the one that matches (Windows 7, 64 bit). After that drama for several days, the next thing was to learn to work the program. The simple burn to DVD option worked like a charm, but the Advanced, which gives you a lot of options on content, etc. took some more time to use.

Anyway, now I am very pleased with this product, and I enthusiastically endorse it, if you are willing to get in there and get your hands a little dirty figuring it out. By the way, I have already more than "paid" for the software, and have over 20 tapes that I have already converted over to my hard drive, and some to DVD. Also, you can work with them once on the computer, because it creates Windows Movie Maker file formats as one of the options.

4Great overall
By Brandon J Preddy
Overall, this is a great unit. Touchscreen works well and it's pretty easy to figure out. I like the Blutooth option and the search functionality works well too. My only complaint is there doesn't seem to be any built in way to get GPS navigation on it. The only way I've been able to find is to spend a few hundred dollars more for an add on system.

5Fast Shipping and great product.
By Robert Hall
The radio is only about two days old and I am very impressed with how easy it was to install everything. The radio sync'd right up with my Iphone 5 and started playing my music off of my Iphone right away.

Sound quality is better than my old factory unit.

I have tested the bluetooth and the only issue is that it sounds like the person is on speaker phone but the quality is good.

I will update if I have any issues with this unit.

To date I highly recommend this unit to anyone.

3Good Deck with Many Options
By Matthew Hunt
I wasn't expecting it to have a conversation with me for the price, but I was expecting quality. And quality is what I received.

Pro's:
Easy to use
Easy to setup
Looks Good
Many color choices
Fast, functional touch screen
Good Sound quality

Con's:
Matte Display is hard to see in Sun - This is a big one, and I have dark tinted windows (18% front/8% rear) and I can barely see it when it's sunny out.
Backgrounds are lame, and without many color choices.
No Options to Dim lighting for night time use.

Overview: For $250 shipped, It's worth it, but you won't see what you're doing in the sunlight.
