4College student review: LOVE IT
By Sean
There are a lot of tech reviews out there on this product listing many of the pros and cons. I meant to keep this short, but it's a pricey piece of technology and I did a LOT of research on it and it's competitors.

I'm no tech expert, just a college student who was in the market for something more portable than my bulky heavy 15.6" Toshiba laptop. Overall, I would say that there are better and cheaper options if you want a strictly media oriented device; if you want to watch movies, listen to tunes, cruise facebook, etc. go with something cheaper. This does all of those things, but you can achieve this goal at a lower price point. NOTE: I DID NOT BUY THIS THROUGH AMAZON. I GOT THIS FOR $599 (with touch cover) elsewhere.

Screen: Awesome. I've watch netflix on this thing without ever noticing any complaints at all. I ordered a micro HDMI to hook it up to my TV, but I haven't actually tried it yet.

Storage: Not great, but has some advantages. Even though this is a 32 GB product, about 16 GB of that is used up by the OS. SO you have about 16 gigs left over. Not a big deal, since it has a micro SD slot, which is appealing. More appealing, I would say, is that it has a built in USB drive to which you may connect any number of devices (keyboards, mouses, printers... more importantly thumb drives with endless storage capabilities)... I keep a 16 GB thumb drive on my keyring which pretty much solves all my problems (especially because it readily accepts a USB device) Cloud? available, but not necessary in my case.

Apps: Pretty sparse. I don't fret this point because the app market for this product is new. It is sure to grow, and if it doesn't I don't care. Why? Because I bought this thing to do WORK, not play games and watch movies. Which leads me to the bigger point; this comes with fully function versions of excel, word, and power point...

Functionality: Good, but could be better. As a college student (I deal mostly in the sciences) this is great. I have instant portable access to excel which is super important for lab write ups and data analysis. This is the primary reason I ultimately selected this tablet. The word application is great. I typed out a 4 page paper a few evenings ago while on the go with few problems. It does take some decent typing skills and some getting used to to make real use of though.

Touch Cover: very cool. Mostly easy to use, but the space bar some times misses, and the delete key is just slightly out of comfortable reach. Also, after a few days of use there is noticeable wear on the space bar and mouse touch pad area. I am hoping this is just some skin oil residue, but it doesn't seem to want to come off with some light cleaning. I am worried that this part of it may wear out quickly.

Battery Life: Excellent. Period. I spent about 4 hours of almost continuous dorking around on the internet and playing on netflix... and it still had 60% left after all that. Not sure how that hold up to other tablets, but it blows my laptop out of the water. I don't dream of bring my laptop somewhere without the power source. With the Surface, I just leave it at home, and don't think twice.

I could go on and on. But I would say that the tablet functions are cool, the touch options are easy to figure out, and the option to go to a "desktop" view really helps you transition into, what I believe, is the closest thing to a tablet/ laptop hybrid. Love it overall, but there are a few annoying aspects. great for work, good for entertainment, but if entertainment is your primary prerogative, go with an iPAD or better yet (for the price) kindle Fire/ HD.

[EDIT] 2-10-2013 - I had to ditch the touch cover and replace it with the TYPE cover. I had a lot of problems with the touch cover; missing key strokes, missing the space bar OFTEN, and spending as much time deleting typos as I did actually typing meaningful words. I sometimes had three or four words strung together without spaces between them because of the space bar issue... VERY annoying. The touch cover is 10 times better. There are still issues with missing key strokes, but that is WAY less of a problem with the type cover. THE TYPE COVER IS EASILY WORK THEN EXTRA 10$!!! (And it doesn't add an appreciable thickness to its folded up orientation.

4Very little compromise in a great productive tablet.
By Christopher Lee
Before I begin, the tablets that I can compare the Surface RT to include the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (from stock Android 3.1 Honeycomb to Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, and all firmware versions in between), the ASUS Transformer TF300 T-B1-BL 10.1-Inch 32 GB Tablet (Blue) (with its ASUS Transformer Pad Mobile Dock TF300T (Blue)), the Asus Google Nexus 7 Tablet (8 GB) - Quad-core Tegra 3 Processor, Android 4.1, the HP TouchPad Wi-Fi 32 GB 9.7-Inch Tablet Computer, and the Apple iPad MD328LL/A (16GB, Wi-Fi, White). Believe me, I know (and love) my mobile. Now for the part of the review you actually care about-- the tablet.

PROS
+ Build quality. The VaporMg finish definitely feels-- and looks-- extremely classy, and this tablet feels great in the hand. Think the aluminum used on Apple's products, but with a slightly softer, warmer finish. The kickstand (designed to be similar to the doors on a luxury car) snaps shut with an incredibly satisfying click, and folds open in a smooth, clear motion. There's no creak to the chassis anywhere, and the entire package screams quality. Save for one thing: the Microsoft logo on the kickstand begins to wear quickly, and for no discernable reason.
+ Beautiful screen. The big sticking point for many is that the Surface RT packs a screen with just 1368x768px resolution, which pales in comparison to many flagship Android tabs (typically packing Full HD screens at 1920x1080px, and the new Nexus 10 with the Retina-crushing 2560×1600px) and of course, Apple's own Retina iPads (at a beautiful 2,048×1,536px). But in my experience, after around 720p the benefits of a higher resolution video or image fall off very quickly on a tablet. Microsoft's ClearType technology is no gimmick; text looks genuinely impressive on this comparatively low-resolution panel, which negates (at least in part) a huge advantage held by higher-pixel displays. Viewing angles and color reproduction is spot on, and Netflix looks incredible on the no-letterboxing 16:9 display.
+ The kickstand. As a student, the small footprint afforded by the Surface with its kickstand extended makes it a great desk companion and movie watching aid, especially while I'm at work and my hands are busy. Some people have likened the Surface (with stand extended and Touch Cover out) as a poor man's laptop, but the kickstand certainly holds its own when it comes to increasing the Surface's versatility. And yes, it is possible to use the device on your lap-- if you're sitting straight. Lean forward, and you'll find the device wanting to tip down. Although, that won't be a huge issue because....
+ Reassuringly sturdy connection to the Touch Cover. The Touch Cover deserves a review of its own, because it's what really brings the Surface into an entirely different league of tablet. Suffice to say that once you get used to it, you'll never want to go back to a tablet where such a useful accessory isn't an option. But even better is the stiff magnetic connection (complete with a reassuring thunk), which is strong enough to-- yes, I did test this over a bed first-- suspend the tablet by the keyboard, and even surface a considerable amount of shaking around. For reference, I tried the same using my iPad and the Apple Smart Cover, and while you can suspend the tablet, any real movement and the iPad will just go flying off.
+ Ports! Having a full USB port open for peripherals (which work astoundingly well) lets you really expand the device at a moment's notice. My favorite setup is to use a Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 - Graphite with my Surface, eschewing the tiny touchpad on the touch covers for a real, solid mouse. You also get HD video out (to HDMI or VGA, though this requires an adapter), a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, and SDXC expansion (located behind the kickstand) to satisfying your storage and ease of access needs.
+ Software. Of course, this tablet is going to be made or broken by Windows RT, and in my belief, it's...made! Windows RT is by far and away the best tablet operating system I've used so far, and you can see for yourself up top that I've dealt with a lot of them. Windows RT allows for "true" multitasking in a way that Android (the closest competitor in terms of multitasking; iOS' implementation is glorified window switching, and webOS on the TouchPad still only allowed one application to be seen at once) cannot. Being able to run two apps on the screen isn't anything new to a desktop user, but Microsoft absolutely nailed the implementation on the mobile front. You really have to check out a video; my review can't do this feature justice. The interface is clean, sleek, and performs great-- one reason Microsoft limited the resolution was to ensure that the processor (the formidable A9 nVIDIA Tegra 3) could run everything at speeds and smoothness rivaling anything iOS and Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean can toss out. Apps function as you'd expect, and altogether everything really comes together.

Did I mention Office? Last week, I decided I wanted to get some work done on an economics project, so I flipped out my Surface, popped the stand and keyboard, and got to work. I was halfway through crunching some large datasets in Excel when I realized that with any other tablet (including the keyboard-equipped Transformer TF300T, in my opinion the closest rival as a "productive" tablet), I would not have even considered trying to work with a spreadsheet. It's a miserable experience.

Built in apps like Internet Explorer 10 work without issue, and unlike other manufacturers, Microsoft lets you uninstall almost ANY application you want-- an enormous and refreshing change of pace. Don't like XBOX Music? Games? Video? Gone, gone, and gone. Don't like the default Mail app? That can be gone too (though it'll take Messaging and People with it). The list goes on and on and on. Multitouch gestures are worked in in thoughtful, genuinely useful ways, and you will hate going back to another tablet once you realize that some sensible, convenient shortcuts are now lost to you.

Oh, and the People app-- great way to check Facebook if you're only in it for casual use.
+ Full filesystem access. If you ever need to work with files, you'll know precisely why this is important. No more chasing files all over the stupid tablet, then finding you can't cram them into your app of choice no matter what.
+ Overall polish. It's weird, because Windows RT still has some bugs of its own, but...the Surface as a whole is incredibly well thought out and executed. You'll sit there thinking, "if only this tablet could do x," then find that it's quite capable of x, y, and z. And then you can appreciate the work that someone, somewhere put into making this a useful device.

CONS
- (Update: That I forgot to include this initially should indicate how much of an afterthought cameras are on tablets) The cameras on this tablet are utterly forgettable. The front-facing one is good enough for a video call, but the rear facing one takes pictures that look like something out of the very first smartphones. The saving grace is the built-in inclination, which positions the camera at a perfectly flat angle when the kickstand is out. It's not hard to use in your hands either-- if you can take people laughing at you. The TF300T has a much better camera, although it's just as bad in low light.
- Speakers are weak. They sound nice enough, and you get decent stereo separation, but there's no beating around the bush-- these things are soft, even for me.
- Browser lock in. Unacceptable. Internet Explorer 10 is better than I thought it would be, but Chrome bookmark sync and the interface are must haves.
- App selection is still a little weak. I don't think this is a huge issue, as I've found everything I need from the web, Office, and some very, very good apps already in the store (such as DLNA streaming via Multimedia 8), but some big hitters are missing; others, like Evernote are in reduced functionality modes (inability to edit rich text, for example).
- Terrible power plug design. I don't mind having a wall wart charger if it charges the machine quickly-- which it does-- but the magnetic attachment has nothing on the MagSafe adapters used on Apple's laptops. They should have gone with a plug on this one.

On the whole, this is a product that can really pull its own weight, and you owe it to yourself to give Windows RT a shot if you're new to the market-- or even if you're a veteran of the ongoing mobile wars. I'd be happy to answer questions, and I will continue to update this review as time goes on.

Just to be clear: I preordered this fellow from the Microsoft store, and I recommend that you'd do so as well. Price gouging on Amazon is always disgusting.

4The things you "CAN DO" perhaps are more important
By Scott E. Bradley
I have an iPad2 and my wife and I have enjoyed it. It is great for surfing the web and if you have little kiddos you want to hand something over to, to hush them up so the adults can speak it is an A+, tons of free game apps (many though that just copy a few others on premise of the games). Anyway... what I found frustrating with it was.

I could not access remote desktop at work, secure network. I could with an app for a little while, but it sucked to use. Then work upgraded to an "RDPFarm" server and no longer could it connect. Then we went on some trips and I wanted to toss some movies on the iPad and some of my own MP3's, hmmmm that is not going to happen easily. I am not an iTunes guy so many cheaper ways to get music! I am more techie than the average person and even I felt is was not worth the time to try to work around putting my own stuff on it. Then my wife wanted it to print to our 3 year HP printer ($20 more bucks for an application to do that).

Surface RT, you get an SD card slot so I added a 64GB SD card ($20). It has a USB port (awesome), I can print to my printer, I can connect to work and do everything I want (makes the keyboard very valuable). I can toss music or movies of any format on an SD card and boom it plays it. I have an HDMI out so I can plug that in to my TV or a Hotels TV and watch whatever (Hulu, YouTube, Netflix). MS has a skydrive just like iCloud so I can take movies, music or pics anywhere I want. I can access my xbox360, I can even use my xbox controller playing games on it (hope they expand on this).

It has the apps I need. Meaning that 2 Angry birds is enough for me (not 30 versions). I don't need to be a flash light, have fart sound apps or have an app for my cat. So my first 2 paragraphs is why you should go for an iPad. The rest may speak to why the Surface is right for you.

P.S. To make your first days go smooth follow these web links below on how to get things going on the Surface. There are many updates, so you will have to do a few reboots (no different that iPad updates).

Also if you have a Xbox 360 have all of your log in's and passwords handy because surface will ask you to set up or copy a profile:

4Lightweight, good viewing area.
By AZ Dee
Finally received the Kindle Lighted Leather Cover for the newest version Kindle. It is VERY lightweight and I had to double and triple check the description considering it states this is a leather cover. The front cover is very thin with a medium-weight cardboard feel to it. The "leather" on the front cover is extremely thin and you can immediately tell the surface will be easily scratched and marred with normal everyday use. The inside of the front cover has a thin microfiber material to protect the screen. The back cover is hollowed out plastic to form-fit your Kindle and snaps in with relative ease.

Using the enclosed graphic instruction card, I removed the Kindle as shown, having to use just enough pressure to make me a bit concerned for someone who would place and remove their Kindle in this cover frequently. However, I plan on using this cover as a full-time solution for both protection and as a light source.

I went ahead and pulled up a book and switched the light on, heading to a closet to see how this looked in complete darkness. The light pulls out of the back cover and is nice and stiff and has a locked full-out position. The spread of the light is greater on top obviously but it does reach the entire screen on the Kindle. There was no glare or reflection and I was able to easily read the page without any noticeable straining.

If I were to choose between this design and the Kindle Keyboard lighted cover, which I have used since its release, I would choose this newer cover. Although it feels flimsy and "cheap" compared to the Kindle Keyboard lighted cover, it makes up for it with its ease of use, no hooks/connectors to worry about and the light "stick" itself seems sturdier than the pull-out plastic flimsy light of the original Kindle Keyboard cover (which, after a year of use needs to be wiggled at times for the light to come on).

I tried a few attempts at taking a picture of the cover in use, but my photography skills are definitely lacking because each picture I took created a glare from the camera which would not be helpful to anyone.

Pros:

NO batteries to continuously buy or recharge
Sturdy light stick
Lights the entire page
Easy connection
Form fitted

Cons:

Feels very flimsy and cheap
The cover scratches easily

I plan on editing this review in a week or two after I go through a couple full Kindle charges to see how well this holds up with regard to battery drain.

Edit 12/1:

So I've run through two full charges of the Kindle and am working on my third but wanted to give a head's up on power consumption I've seen so far. The first charge was approx. 7* hours of reading before I got the "pop-up" message about low battery. The second charge was just under 8* hours. If I notice a dramatic change in the next several charges, I'll edit this again.

*I use my Kindle with the light on 100% of the time, with Wi-Fi turned off.

Even though the lighted cover pretty much halves the battery life per charge of the Kindle, I am still super happy with the fact that I am not spending money on any extra batteries. The amount of reading time it allows is more than enough between charges considering I usually don't read more than an hour or so a day, which allows me to go around a week between charges.

Edit 8/7/2012:

Just wanted to follow up that this cover is still going strong after over eight months' of almost daily use. The light stick joint is still stiff so that it extends correctly to light the entire page. There hasn't been any degradation to the battery life of the kindle and I'm still getting a good 7-8 hours of reading with wifi off and light used 100% of the time.

What I mentioned as a con in my original review still applies regarding the flimsy front cover and paper thin leather-over-cardboard texture. I feel that I handle my Kindle (and other electronics) very gently but there are several small scratches all over my cover. There is a high shine and obvious wear on the cover where you can see where I normally hold it while reading. While this doesn't distract from the utility of this cover I still believe higher quality material should have been used to further justify the price of this product.

All in all, I still do not regret this purchase as I have saved several times over the amount I would have spent on batteries over this time period.

3A Step Down In Quality
By Joe E
I owned a Kindle Keyboard for about a year, and I purchased the leather lighted case for that unit. While the corner light left a little to be desired as far as even lighting, overall I was very pleased with the case. Based on that experience, I went ahead and purchased the lighted cover for my new Kindle. I can't say this experience has as been as positive.

Let's start off with what's good about the case. The Kindle battery powered light is a big improvement. The light is now centered on the screen, so illumination is more even now. I don't use the light often, but in the cases where I do it will be nice to have more balanced coverage. One positive on the case itself is that I appreciate how much lighter this one feels than the previous generation. The hinge area is smaller, which means less of the "spine folding" effect the other one took on after heavy use. I never took my Kindle Keyboard out of the case after it was put in, so the snug fit I have seen complaints about is not an issue for me. It IS tight, though, so if you don't plan to keep the case on full time be aware it may take some effort to get it back out. In my situation, that tight fit is exactly what I want, but your mileage may vary.

Now on to the negatives. The case does feel very cheap, especially with no change in price point. The previous cover felt like a solidly made piece of work, whereas the new cover only feels half as sturdy. The thinness of the case was no doubt done to minimize its weight, so I realize this is a personal issue. Outside the thickness, though, it just doesn't look or feel as well made. The textured surface of the previous model you that leather feel, very much like a real book. Finally, the most stunning oversight is the lack of a closure device. I understand some people didn't like the elastic band, but SOMETHING should have been added to allow the case to stay securely closed.

Overall, this is an average if overpriced case. It's not bad, but in comparison to what came before I have to admit I feel like the quality took a step backward me while maintaining a high price point.

4I recieved it today!
By M. Thurig
I have had the Kindle Keyboard with it's lighted cover and now I have the new Kindle with lighted cover. I will briefly compare them and then list the pros and cons of this cover.

In comparison:
-The kindle keyboard in the cover is much heavier than the new kindle in it's cover. The new case does a much better job of securing the kindle as well, it is no longer hinged only on one edge, but instead it is form fit inside of a rigid rubber shell that attaches to the back of the new kindle

-The lighting is about the same between both cases, but where the old case lit the screen from the top right corner, the new case lights the screen from the top middle.

-I feel like the old light mechanism was more durable. The light bar on this cover is made out of very stiff, thin plastic instead of the thick rubbery plastic that contained the light on the old cover. It also hinges open instead of pulling out of the case, and the hinge feels subpar.

-The light on the new case is less angled and tends to get in my eyes more when reading than the old kindle keyboard case did.

All in all I still like the new case. It fits the new kindle very well and does not increase the size or weight very much. The leather is somewhat thin but not horribly so and it looks sleek on the kindle. I will be keeping this case.

Pros:
Compact case that looks very sleek
Tight and secure fit
Uses the Kindle's batteries so no additional power is needed.
Provides adequate lighting across the entire screen.

Cons:
Lightbar hinge seems very cheap.

Since I only received this today, I cannot yet evaluate the additional drain that this case will place on the Kindle's battery. I will update after I've gone through a few charges.

P.S. - I'd like to add that people complaining about the availability / delay in shipping of this product need to stop. It does not at all reflect the quality of the device, yet all of the negative ratings based on delayed shipments make the product look horrible when it is in fact very nice.

1does not fit iphone 5 or 5s
By Travis noble
i have this case it black and green that i bought at best buy and it fits great so then i ordered two more for my wife and father. when i got these it looked the exact same until you try and put them on. both cases didn't fit over the edges of the phone not design wise but like the case had shrunk. i was talking to someone else about this and they had the same problem with the amazon version of this case.

I tried to fit on my 5s and the wife 5 no luck on either

1Received 2 Knock-off cases
By MINI
The actual case being advertised (the one manufactured by Belkin) is a fantastic, 5-star case. I know because I spent the $20 at a physical B&M store and have the authentic one on my own iPhone. My husband just got a new iPhone and so he wanted the case for himself and we were so excited to find it at such a good price on Amazon. Until we received it. Amazon, one of your suppliers is supplying you with FAKE cases. I initiated an exchange, and unfortunately, the second case is still a FAKE. So we're returning both and he'll just be shelling out the money for the real one from a store. The fake ones do NOT fit the device correctly-- they are not snug, there are visible gaps between the case and the edge of the phone. The smoky "tinted" sheerness is not the same. And there aren't serial numbers etched on the case. Amazon, please check with your vendors and/or listen to your customers.

So for those of you out there disappointed with this case, try to find one in a B&M store. The authentic Belkin case is quite nice and has definitely helped keep my iPhone in great shape for the last year. And just beware that sometimes "you get what you pay for" and "if it's too good to be true..." I'm sure some lucky Amazon customers received authentic cases, but I bet a lot have also received a fake one (or two), like we did.

1Horrible product!
By Onik Nazarian
I was very happy when I first received this case because the color was exactly what I expected.
HOWEVER, when I put the case on it did not fit my iPhone 5S at all. I had trouble pressing the buttons because they were off and the front corners were not protected at all. I absolutely do not recommend this product, very disappointing.

4Simple snap on case, good price, rubber coating so less slipping
By BoaltGeek
The case is just what you might expect in terms of fit and finish (both are good to excellent). It's thin so protection from drops is limited (still better than nothing or even a Zagg type plastic adhesive) but protection from scratches is excellent.

From Facebook and the comments here (Rearth responded to my questions quickly), you should know that the SF is different from the LF:
SF = Soft feeling = rubberized coating, same as the well reviewed and similarly described SF Matte Black Samsung Galaxy S3 Rearth Ringke Soft Feeling Case
vs.
LF = Light feeling = plastic with texture for grip but no rubberized coating (also sold on Amazon here).

I've hard other rubber coated cases (like this SF model), which I prefer for grip and the matte look (which I think matches the iPhone 5 case rear section, which is non-glossy, though not necessarily "matte," aluminum). However, I understand some people prefer the easier to remove from your pocket non-rubber coated models like the LF (I do hate when my pocket get turned out as a rubber edge catches the fabric of the pocket, though you learn to accommodate that quickly). Also, the rubber coating on some cases I've owned has rubbed off at the corners, hopefully this case rubber coating will be a bit more durable, but for 10 bucks it's hard to go wrong.

There is a very slight "lip" so you can put the phone down with the screen side on a table but the lip keeps the glass *just* off the surface. With a adhesive screen protector it might be exactly on the same level as the lip; it's very thin which I prefer. The InCase snap on case for the iPhone 4 has too high a lip for me, but this lip is just right for limited protection while maintaining the form of the phone.

This plus a decent adhesive cover over the glass front is exactly the size and degree of protection I want. It keeps he phone about the same size (it's surprisingly small/thin/light) while giving decent protection to the corners and back side of the phone. My co-worker didn't even think there was a case on it because it was still thinner than his "naked" iPhone 4S. While I hope competition drives the prices down, the quality of the case is excellent even at the current price. If I had to choose a replacement, I'd buy the same case again without regret.

[Update upon receipt:]
The SF soft feeling matte black is excellent: not very grippy at all but enough to keep it from sliding around on my car's dashboard or on my desk. I was able to scrape off the white text on the back without removing the rubber coating so I suspect it will be quite resistant to rubbing off at the corners of the case. The fit is excellent but not perfect (I suspect it will get pretty dang close to perfect after warming up a few times in my pocket, the plastic is hard but somewhat malleable with heat I expect). The feeling is a bit less grip than a similar snap on InCase case; honestly in my subjective opinion it's just right. Enough to stay in place even when the surfaces are not flat but not so much that it pulls the pocket out of my pants when I take the phone out. Less grip than the rubber surrounds on the Apple Bumper protectors, but with more protection over the back of the case.

** The case comes with a slicker on the portion facing the back side of the phone; I was not certain that this should be removed but I found the fit to be better without the sticker and I don't think it provides any additional protection. I'd try your case with the sticker first and if you need a little more room to get the edges to "snap" into place, remove the sticker. If your case is too loose, the sticker may improve the fit. However, my case was just right without the sticker and I suspect others will be manufactured to the same specs so forego the sticker.

1I have 2 break in 8 months and they both broke in the same place
By Mr M J Gosnell
I initially bought this as it has the best reviews for an iPhone 5 case that wasn't bulky. I bought my first one at Christmas when I got a new phone when it was time to renew our family plan. That broke on the top right hand corner as you look at front of the phone, not by dropping it I might add. I thought I'd stick with the same product as I like the look and feel, however 4 months on the case has just broken again in exactly the same place. I will now look for an alternative iPhone 5 case.

1Great design but poor quality.
By Joe D.
I purchased this case because of the countless four and five star reviews for it. I love this style case as I can't stand to have a lot of bulk on my phone. I like a nice sleek case and this one would be perfect (or at least I thought). I received my case and immediately put it on my iPhone 5. The case was very loose around the edges, so much so that when I grabbed my phone from the sides it would make a popping sound because the case wasn't flush with the phone. I removed the case, squeezed it a bit to see if I could fix it myself and had no luck.

I contacted customer support who was great. They responded immediately and advised me to do what I had already done. I removed the case again and tried squeezing it. No luck. They quickly replied and apologized and sent out a replacement without asking me to send the other one back. I received the replacement a few days later and have the exact same issue. I suppose many who left the reviews didn't mind that this case wasn't as tight as it should be or didn't notice. I noticed and I wasn't impressed.

Sorry Rearth but something needs to be done about this.

1This is a scam!
By bdog
Beware!! This is not a real lifeproof case as it is fraudulently advertised to be. Upon receiving the case it was immediately put on my phone. After 2 days the screen on the case came apart from the case. Not very "waterproof" now is it. When I called the lifeproof company they asked for me to provide them with the color and serial number of the phone. There was no serial number on the phone and the company said that they do not even make that color. The person i spoke with stated that I had been the victim of a scam and that whoever was selling this case was doing so illegally. Do NOT buy this case or buy from this company. I now have a brand new phone that has a cracked screen because of this.

5Love it & I get so many compliments!
By C. Marr
This is a great case!! It seems protective so far, as I have dropped my phone twice now with this case on and both the case and phone are still intact. The pattern shows off the color of the 5C nicely while still providing a protective covering. The edge is raised on the front a little bit so I think it would be fairly safe against a "face first" drop as well. It also is a firm feeling plastic material, it does not feel cheap but also slides in and out of pockets very well.

5Rubber Owl
By Katrina Maree
This case was everything I'd ever dreamed of, but it wasn't until I unsheathed it from the packaging that I truly knew its greatness. As I cuddled it easily onto the back of my new iPhone, I noticed the slightly rubbery texture that it had. My phone no longer slips from my pocket or off any slanted surfaces. It works quite splendidly. The cover is also noticeably adorable, which pushes it to a 5-star rating from me.

Pros:
easy installation
maximum cuteness
non-slip surface

Cons:
my phone can no longer go down the slide at the park

5Love these
By abees
I bought two of these. This one and the polka dots. They look great on my phone and they're a much harder plastic than I anticipated. They aren't bulky and it doesn't even feel like there is a case on it.
