1LifeProof Warranty is Outrageous
By James Wynne
I purchased this product for my iPad about a year ago and love it. In fact I loved it so much I bought one for my iPhone as well as the wife's iPhone. A couple of months ago, I purchased another LifeProof case for my wife's iPad...though a different color of course. I recently (about a week ago) surprised her with it and so this weekend (8/10/13) she decides to put it all together. However, when she ran the leak test the unit failed. So we pulled the gaskets out cleaned them off with a damp rag, re-inserted them and tested again and again...but the lead test continues to fail. I even pulled my LifeProof apart and used its gasket for a test...but it still failed. I am now looking to just get a replacement but since it has been greater than 30 days since I ordered it, we are out of luck. Really?? I paid $150 for this and only get a 30 day warranty from the manufacturer and Amazon as well? This is a brand new item removed from the box and I get nothing for it since I didn't open it right away. For a company, LifeProof, that touts their product as being the best on the market for what it does, they certainly don't have much faith in its longevity.
This really is a great product and would well deserve a five star rating, however be warned that if you are purchasing this product...test it out as soon as you get it...for if you don't and it fails the leak test past the 30 days of purchase...it will be you who just took the bath.

1one fall, one shatter, no coverage from LifeProof
By kathleen wallace
I am astounded by the horrific experience I have just had with my iPad LifeProof case. I am a teacher and have been using my iPad for my job which requires me to travel through junior high hallways each passing period. I figured I'd better get the best case possible since I would likely drop the iPad at some point in the school year. I bought the LifeProof case, thinking it would protect my iPad. I have used the case for exactly 2 weeks and have not dropped it a single time. Last night my son dropped my ipad from his hands, it fell on a tile floor, and the entire screen shattered into hundreds of tiny shards. I was ASTOUNDED. It was as if there had been no case at all. Are you kidding me? I guess the "proof" is in the puddin' - or the shards, as the case may be. This morning, I called LifeProof and spoke to an actual human being who told me that they warranty the case itself. So, if the case had cracked into shards, they will warranty the case but the item inside gets no coverage whatsoever. This case has literally dropped one single time and my iPad is utterly ruined; the case did not protect it in the smallest way. Despite the video they have imbedded in their website, where people are dropping it on the side walk and it's getting whipped off a taxi, this will NOT protect your electronic device when you really need it to. I will return the case because it's been less than 30 days and I will never buy this ridiculously expensive, useless product again. Be ye warned!!!! - LifeProof neither protects nor replaces your electronics - and watch your eyes, my son now has an irritation in his eye from the spray of glass dust.

1A bit annoying ...
By T. Wynia
ONLY buy this if you MUST have a fully water/dust proof case !!! Its a great product for what it really is and really admire the o-ring design but this is not for the very large majority of people. I use my iPad for GPS in an open off road vehicle in heavy dust and rain so perfect for me but gave it a low review as this product is pushed heavily to the mainstream users when it should not be:

- Speaker is muffled and at least 25% less sound and loose some serious fidelity
- The Nuud idea of no screen protector is a cool thought but I really think all of us want some screen protection especially at this price point and cost of an iPad. Atleast it does come with the snap on face cover but its really only practical for storage in my opinion. Weird that when removed it wont snap ontot he backside of the case so its an extra loose item to carry around. It also has a built in kickstand and thus doubles as a stand so that is nice but still not well thought out as only good for landscape orientation. Expect a lot more at this price point in general.
- Only OEM charger will fit ... had to buy adapters for all my chargers and most don't fit and need to be modified
- The door design for charger makes it a little tricky (you get use to it) to insert the charger
- My headphones wont plug in by simply removing the waterproof plug (which is a bit annoying in general). have to use the adapter to make contact properly so its another thing dangling off the case which is annoying.
- Very bulky but good quality
- SUPER Expensive ... throw in a good NUUD screen protector film custom cut (Zagg) to maintain waterproof and getting way up as cant use a standard film screen protector

Was hoping I could tolerate this case to still use it for work also when I don't need waterproof and tried to get use to it but I am going to a standard cover/case for normal use. Really surprised how many of these have sold and are pushed heavily in the big box stores too ... it should be a niche only product.

5Definitely worth the price
By Leo
I bought 4 of these scanners for data entry purposes. I've used them for about a week now, scanning approximately 2000 items daily for each scanner. So far i've had only a few instances where the scanner wouldn't read the barcode the first or the second time (automatic scanning), but pulling the trigger over the barcode a few times did the trick.

The scanner comes with a handsfree stand (as described) that needs minor assembly. It has a little piece of metal that screws to the bottom of the stand, making it bottom-heavy, so it's pretty sturdy when mounted on the stand. I took the scanner right out the box and plugged it into my laptop and started scanning right away, so it really is plug and play.

For the price, I am very satisfied and would definitely purchase more if the need arises.

5Impressive!
By Amazon Customer
After reading the reviews on this scanner, I purchased one. Really couldn't go wrong with the price, but didn't want a lot of hassle either.

Building an Access 2010 database for inventory control, orders and invoicing for our forthcoming online store. Because we have an inventory of over 1,500 items to be entered into our database I wanted to scan UPC codes into the (database) DB. In addition the scanner would be used for scanning UPC codes into an online service which will allow for product look up to get addition descriptive info and comparable market pricing.

Received the product promptly, in Amazons usual excellent packaging box. By the way, we are so impressed with the service we get from Amazon that it's become our number place to go to find products.

Setup was very easy and was able to figure it out without looking at the instructions. Oops, I got the bottom plate screwed into place, but had to look at the instructions to see that I had to remove the plate and install the vertical stand first and then screw the plate down into place. My error, hey who looks at instructions anyhow!

From reading the reviews I kinda dreaded attaching the scanner to the computer because of the encrypted instruction for scanner set up that was mentioned in some reviews. However, had my data entry form built in Access 2010 and the time came. By the way, if your planning on using this scanner with Access, make sure its a non numerical field or set the property for that field to text not a number field. Not much is said about this subject, so including it for others that may be looking. For Excel, click in the cell your going to scan into then Right click. Select Format Cells, Click the Number Tab at the top, then select Number in under the Category. To the right of that select 0 Decimal places. In Microsoft Word just place your cursor where you want the scan to be placed and use your scanner as you normally would. The scanner will place the number where ever you want.

Plugged the scanner into a USB port and gave Windows 7 plug and play time to install the correct driver automatically from their own database as there is no CD software provided with this product. Two beeps from the scanner were heard and pop up said, that the driver had been installed successfully. Placed my cursor in a Access text box that I had labeled UPC Code. Pointed the scanner at a UPC code on an inventory item to be scanned and heard a beep. Presto, the scanner had successfully scanned the UPC code into my entry from correctly. Checked the Access table and yes, the UPC code was in the storage table where it was supposed to be. Double checked the UPC code from the box to what was entered and it was correct. Yeah! I didn't scan any ISBN (book bar code) yet, so additional set up may be needed, but unsure.

I went to my online UPC look up service and placed my cursor in the entry box and scanned in the UPC code. Within a nano second I had a screen full of product pictures, info and comparable produce pricing. Wow! I am impressed! This will make product look up so much easier if my inventory has a UPC code on it.

The only con I can see is the distance between the trigger and the mounting cradle to allow me to pull the trigger is very small. Am saying this as I didn't want to pull the scanner out of it's cradle each time to scan an item. I have smaller fingers and would imagine larger fingers would be a problem. However, I also noticed that when the scanner sits in the cradle that the scanner is always on, so all I have to do is slide an item with a UPC code under the scanner and it scans automatically without pulling the trigger.

Unit is very nice looking, sturdy and seems to be heavy enough. You can't go wrong for the price!

Update: We purchased a second unit because the first one worked so well. Brand name was different on the new unit, but had the same results installing, operating, both computers using Win 7. We have so much inventory to enter that I now have my PC entering one product line, and the laptop entering another product line. Unit reads ISBN numbers very well too. When I power the computer up for the day, I hear two beeps from the scanner which is normal. Very nice unit!

4Works Great, but beware of fulfillment company
By C. Pledger
I bought this in March 2012 for use with a low volume check-in system at my church. Assembled stand, plugged it up, hardware found, drivers loaded, grabbed a bar code and it read it automatically. I can't compare it's ability to read bar codes to others, but it is fine for loyalty card scans. We plan to use several of these so I ordered another in April. The second one was completely different- different stand, different body and did not automatically scan. Grabbed the manual supplied to activate the auto mode and found a page covered over with white stickers. No other references in the manual to auto scan. Tried to get into programming mode with key sequence given- no luck, tried to get into programming mode with bar code to scan in manual- no luck.
I then reviewed order information and determine that different companies fulfilled each order even though it was the same Amazon item. The second one from Lemoncell Trading Company does not match the picture or functionality and is being returned. The first one I ordered from Lofteck worked fine so I just ordered another one being careful to get it from them. Pay attention to where your item comes from if you need auto-scanning capability in the stand (no trigger squeeze).

5Great keyboard/cover for Coby Kyros MID7024 & easy fixes for other reviewer's complaints
By Stephanie L
NOTE: THIS DOES NOT WORK WITH ANY KINDLE PRODUCT AS FAR AS I KNOW - PLEASE DO NOT ASK ME QUESTIONS ABOUT KINDLES OR KINDLE FIRES AS I DO NOT OWN ONE. THIS IS A REVIEW FOR THIS KEYBOARD COVER WITH A COBY KYROS - I DO NOT OWN OTHER E-READERS AND CANNOT OFFER ADVICE ON THOSE PRODUCTS!

I bought this after reading many reviews on here and noting that many people said it worked with Coby Kyros. Shipping was FAST! I got it in 4 days with two of them being weekend days. The case is nice and sturdy, great hardcover protection. I was aware it came with the keyboard and plug, and that I would have to use my adapter that came with my Coby Kyros, but it was a pleasant surprise to find a stylus was also included and that there is a nice holder for that and for the cord that holds the plug for the keyboard.

Many people have mentioned this case does not fit their 7-inch tablets, but there is a VERY EASY fix. Before placing your tablet into the 3 prongs, first bend the prongs downward (toward the case backing) a little further than they are currently seated. I did this and my 7-inch Kyros (which originally just slipped right in) now fits snugly in the 3 holders. I even held it over my bed and vigorously shook the case up and down while it was open and my tablet never fell out or even slipped at all. It's much easier and less "messy" than one other reviewer's suggestion of using Velcro - and much easier to get the tablet in and out this way.

Finally, when I first connected my adapter that came with my tablet to the keyboard adapter I was very disappointed that nothing happened. I tried several different browser pages, mashed all the buttons on the keyboard, clicked on the Function key and snooze button twice in case it was in sleep mode, etc. but nothing happened. I finally kept reading reviews on here and noticed on about page 3 or 4 that someone mentioned they changed their USB settings and their keyboard finally started working. So, I immediately went to my Settings, Advanced Settings, and then USB BUS MODE and changed it from DEVICE mode to HOST mode and VOILA - the keyboard immediately started functioning. Not only that, but I can have it connected or not connected and both the external keyboard and my device keyboard still function normally. For anyone that hooks it up to their tablet and thinks it is not actually working - please try this and it might save you the time and hassle of sending it back to the manufacturer.

I have so far been able to browse faster, type more quickly and get through many more screens faster using this keyboard and cover than I was ever able to do with my fingers and stylus with the tablet and device keyboard in the past. I am going to LOVE this purchase!!

4How to fix USB not recognizing keyboard problem
By L. Price
For those who can't get their keyboard recognized by their tablet, this person's review also fixed my problem. Quoted below..... and the first thing you need is a usb to mini usb converter (check your connection type), which I ordered on Amazon for only $1.35.

"When I first connected my adapter that came with my tablet to the keyboard adapter I was very disappointed that nothing happened. I tried several different browser pages, but nothing happened. Thank you for this fix

5NOT COMPATIBLE WITH KINDLE FIRE!
By Larry Lambert
The keyboard is really good so I was HUGELY disappointed when I found out it is incompatible with my Kindle Fire! The keys are wide and I can use my big old gorilla knuckle-draggers on it with no problem. The stylus is garbage but the case looks good for a faux leather. Where am I going to find a compatible keyboard for the FIRE?..... I recommend this product for the tablets it is compatible with. For the price there is none better!

5Perfect for my need

This stand was perfect for my Dell flatscreen. Although it is plastic, it is very sturdy and the price was very reasonable compared to others I looked at.

5met my expectations
By barells
I'm 6'2, so any monitor that I've bought has always been too short for me.
This monitor stand did the trick. But, one word of caution, is that I had
to use the highest level (about 5 inches), so if you need more height
extension then 5 inches, you might want to look at alternatives. For me
the 5 inches was perfect.

5Very solid, especially for the price
By Olaf Piesche
Clamps to the desk with two finger screws, which doesn't seem like it would be very stable, but once installed it's rock solid. No wobble, it doesn't feel or look cheap. Very solid, relatively easy to install; height adjustment is only possible for both monitors at a time, not individually, but that's no big drawback. Cable clamps along each arm, which feel a bit flimsy but work. Comes with a surprisingly good, big, rubber coated allen wrench to tighten the screw that holds the arms vertically. Quick adjustment of the monitors is not possible, so it's a set-it-and forget-it mount. If you need to adjust monitor height frequently (such as transitioning from sitting to standing), this one's not for you. It's no-frills, but very good build quality. I don't think I'd be able to find another monitor mount of this quality for this price.

5Way better than expected given the price
By William Pallies
This stand is extremely sturdy and adjustable. I've had it for over a year now and have not had any problems with it. When I first bought it, I was expecting something satisfactory at best, given the low price. Every other VESA mount I had seen was at least double to quadruple the price, so I figured I'd be cheap and get something that works barely. Instead, this stand exceeded my expectations in every category. It mounts easily, is solid, looks good, and lets me adjust the display's tilt and angle with ease.

5Excellent Product and Price!
By Ookpic
Picked up this stand over the holidays. It has excellent quality! I have 2 Samsung 23" monitors mounted on it with no problems. VESA screws that came in the kit worked excellent. Unit is very adjustable, tilt, pan, height, etc etc. It even looks great!. If you are looking to clean up the clutter that sits in and around your monitor bases then this fits the bill. Even comes with built in clips to manage your cords! I would highly recommend.

Ever since I got my first GorillaPod, which was back when they first came out, I've been a fan of the products. Still have it, and it still works great. So when I saw this one, I decided to go ahead and pick it up. It doesn't disappoint. Each of the phones I put in it fit snugly, held in place by the spring action arms. Even when intentionally shaken about, they devices did not slip or fall out. Getting the phones in and out of the grip arms is easy and quick. True to the original, the GripTight is, at its core, a camera tripod. The grip arms are just an (attachment with is being sold mated to the JOBY JB01249-0EN GorillaPod Original. So, I was able to unscrew the attachment and attach the stand to my cameras. Very much worth the purchase price and cheaper than buying each piece individually.

3separate the parts
By Eric L
First of all I'd like to say that I think the actual attachment to this is overpriced. I got this so that I could run timelapses on my phone and even though I already had a gorilla pod and just wanted the attachment, I got the full kit because it was only $5 more to get the whole new gorilla pod base. Now I know why. If you don't already have a gorilla pod, this is a good buy, however, the stand that comes with this is not the same as the original gorilla pod. Its a much cheaper version. It still works but it's lighter, thinner, and doesn't seem as durable. The top part is perfect for holding my phone. Even with a fairly large case, it still holds it perfectly. It folds down to a very slim profile. I would recommend this product, just not at the $25 price.

5Perfect tripod for phones
By M. Pearce
This little tripod has a few possibilities. I bought it so I could do time-lapse movies with my Android phone. It can double as a phone stand on your desk, or anywhere you need to mount your phone for convenience. The part that holds your phone is detachable, and the tripod can be used with anything that has the standard female threaded mount, like found on cameras. My only concern is losing the phone bracket at some point.
