Works like a mouse pad.

I'm not really a connoisseur of mouse pads. I think this is the first one I've ever paid for. But, it seems to be the best mouse pad I've had. Works great with our optical mouse, and it's not too thick or too thin.

I'm not sure that a mouse pad deserve much more of a review than that.

Decent basic mouse pad, but it smells terrible

This is very basic mouse pad. It's perfectly functional and has a good mousing surface. However, it positively reeks of rubber. It smells strongly enough that you notice it when sitting next to it at your work station, and it permeates your hand while using it. Expect your mousing hand to smell like cheap tires or, in my opinion, somewhat like old cigarette smoke after using it for any length of time. It is difficult to wash the odor away.

Ungodly smell will haunt you indefinitely

Other people have complained about the odor, but I just want to reiterate this issue.

I was struck by how bad it smelled when I got it, but I figured after a few days the smell would dissipate and it wouldn't be an issue.

I was wrong. It was like my desk had a chemical plant sitting on it, emitting hazardous toxins into my nose at all times. It's hard to explain just how bad this smell is. It smells like an abusive relationship. Or a bum fight initiated by frat boys. Or dying alone with no friends to attend your funeral. Or whatever the worst possible thing you can imagine is. Seriously, that bad.

But to be less metaphoric, it smells like some sort of noxious chemical run-off odor, mixed with pungent body odor and a stale ashtray.

Your wrist rubs on this thing, and makes your sleeve smell like its putrescence.

After 5 days of it being on my desk and giving me a headache and it's odor not fading, I decided to try washing it. I used hot water and lots of strong soap. This had no effect.

After another few days, still unable to breath comfortably at my own desk, I threw it in the trash and closed the lid.

Here's the worst part: I threw it away over a week ago and my desktop STILL smells like that awful thing. Even in its absence it still almost triggers my gag reflex at times. I've washed my desktop surface multiple times now, with three different wood cleaners, letting them soak in, and STILL it wreaks.

I would not recommend this product to anyone, unless they were trying to ruin someone's desk with it.

Works fine with Chrome book

to say it works fine just plugged in the nano receiver and in 2 seconds it was working fine. Smooth
scroll wheel and the buttons work fine..It came with a double A battery installed so it was ready to
go right out of the box..I ordered the light silver one because it matches the color of the 11.6" Chromebook.
It's the perfect size for my large hands plus the wife says it's the right size for her also..Video
shows the Logitech mouse next to a full size Microsoft wireless 5000 to get a size comparison.

I bought this for my chromebook, and am very satisfied. Love the scrolling action and the plug and play ease of use. Spend the extra $10 it will be worth it for the quality!

A very well-designed mouse!

The Logitech M325 wireless mouse is both very attractive and functional. You don't need directions to set it up or use it--just plug in the USB receiver, pull the battery protector strip out, and turn it on. It has nice rubber sides and grip on the scrolling wheel. The scrolling and clicking functions are very smooth and accurate.

A nice touch is the battery compartment door that opens effortlessly but fastens securely and inside the compartment is a secret slot to store the USB receiver! An alkaline AA is pre-installed.

This mouse is very compact. It is really not quite as chubby as it appears in the photos. The shape and texture are very pleasant and I keep catching myself fondling it! The weight is well-balanced and it is designed to be used with either hand.

Two very minor complaints: the USB receiver looks very much like the one that came with my Logitech wireless keyboard K360 but it doesn't work with it, and vice versa. Also, the non-recyclable clamshell packaging is wasteful--although it has perforations in the back so opening it was easier than opening a beverage can. I understand that it is important to be able to see the product in brick & mortar stores but for online sales, Logitech should package it in cardboard only.

This is definitely a five-star mouse, nice quality, attractive design, very portable. If you are using a wired mouse or have a sore forefinger from using a touchpad, you will really enjoy it. I am using it for reading while still using the touchpad when typing.

Great mouse, great price

I was skeptical of this mouse because of the low price. I took a chance on it and I am extremely pleased. This isn't just a good mouse for the price, but a good mouse period. I like for the mouse to be a little bigger - I find that small mice (i.e. portable laptop style) make my fingers and hand ache after long periods of use. This mouse is a good size and I feel like I'm simply resting my hand on top of it. The ergonomic design is a positive as well. I have never used an ergonomic mouse, always opting for the standard shape. It didn't take long to get used to and I feel like I have better control over the pointer. The location of the wheel and side buttons are very good, but the additional 3rd and 4th buttons below the wheel are a little tricky to press. Not really an issue for me, but some gamers may want to consider this. Lastly, set up was easy - simple plug and play. It comes with some software that allows you to edit what the buttons do, but I have no real need for it. 5/5 stars. Highly recommended!

Great Gaming Mouse!

This mouse resonates performance from the time you open the box. The braided cable is built for endurance and the heavy use that PC gaming puts on equipment. It is very ergonomically designed, the arc of the mouse fits perfectly into the palm and the two grips placed on the sides allow for precision control even during long gaming sessions. The programmable buttons allow the user to customize for any game on the market whether it be League of Legends or Call of Duty. The ability to change speeds by a push of a button make the learning curve for this product very easy to manage. Just set the speed from your previous mouse and you are good to go. Being a customer that has used Razer and Steel Series mice before, this mouse has the same high performance qualities for a much better price.

This is so much more mouse than the price indicates. Great feel, nice heft, and easy to use software for button macros. Even if, like me, you prefer having 3 buttons on the side, there is no reason to pay more for a "standby" emergency gaming mouse. One of the best values in PC peripherals I've ever enjoyed.

Good Cheap Keyboard mouse combo

Original plan was to purchase a wireless keyboard and mouse combo, after reviews and specs I realized I wasn't a huge fan of any of the options. I reformed my plan to purchase a new keyboard and use an old mouse, well after looking around at various sites I found this combo to be the best.

Keyboard is standard layout and fairly low profile. Feels good to type on and has worked great for gaming so far. Mouse is a standard 2 button and wheel optical mouse works well as well.

Only down side I can see is that the cable seems to be a bit light gauge and may affect the life expectancy of the keyboard or mouse, however if you don't have animals that may eat the cable and if you plan to plug this into an office set up and never remove it I am sure it wont affect its longevity.

Love the keyboard for its classic design. No more useless fluff like copy and paste buttons, playback buttons, browser... email buttons etc.
The keys are at the right size and shape, no more irregular over sized or shrunk keys.

Cheap OK Works, but I like it a lot.

I've tried many keyboards and mice. I needed a cheap USB combination. This one works but the keyboard is of the cheaper variety. The wires also are of the thinner type I'd think over years not as sturdy if pulled on it.
The length of the cords is good, just their thinness. I've seen this on laptop mice where the wire broke it's connection being pulled too much.
If I had to do it again I would go for Kensington which I think is a definite step up in quality. The mouse also is cheap, the wheel is noisy and rattles.
The reason is that the keyboard and mouse are the main human interface, what you're touching ALL DAY, so why not spend an extra $5.00 for a better quality for something you'll be using every day for years? Alternatively, you do get used to just about any keyboard and mouse that works! Anyway, get this combo for <$20.00. But I'd recommend Kensington. Why has Logitech been making such cheap stuff? Their headphones are also real cheap, quality and price.
UPDATE: Now I like it a lot for the price so I changed my Rating to 5 star. It is easy to use and smooth so I am overlooking the thin cable. The cables are long so that is great.

Former Large Trackball User

I used to use the trackballs with "Cue Balls" and wheels. When my last one gave out (I bought a bunch on sale) my mate bought this one. I was sceptical because of the small ball. I do engineering work and I need precise movements. I used this for a few hours before I decided I'd never go back. Plus the optical technology is a lot easier to clean than the rubber wheels of the old style trackballs. And the price is very right.

Originally called the Logitech Marble Mouse Trackball, the TrackMan Marble Trackball is the superior alternative to the mouse. Unlike a mouse, it sits in one place and your fingers use that big burgundy ball to move the pointer. Your thumb does the clicking and once you get accustomed to it, using a mouse will seem quaint and clunky.

Long before the optical mouse rose to fame, Logitech was already employing optical technology in the TrackMan Marble and its siblings. Pop out the ball and you'll find a small rectangular window. Behind that window are an infrared LED and the sensor. Together, they track the movement of the marble's leopard spots. It might not be as sexy as the bright red glow of a conventional non-laser optical mouse but it gets the job done with more precision and comfort. The TrackMan Marble is even ambidextrous, allowing lefties to use it as easily as righties.

If you're wondering about scrolling without a wheel, it all depends on the operating system. With the Logitech Control Center software installed on a Mac, the mini-buttons scroll up and down. With Windows running Logitech SetPoint, configure the mini button nearest your thumb for Autoscroll. This turns the ball into a variable-speed scroll control that's as easy to master as a wheel.

Saved my wrist

I am a software developer and spend 8 hours a day or more hammering away at the computer. Years ago, I had a really bad tendonitis/carpal tunnel problem caused by a standard mouse. It got so bad that I couldn't even tie my shoes with the help of that hand. I tried 5 different mice and even tried switching mouse hands. Nothing worked until I found this. I have been using it for over 7 years now on my left hand (I am right handed) and gone through two of them, and my wrist feels great.

Some ergonomics expert made a comment on this site stating the contrary. From first hand experience I can tell you he is dead wrong. I also have coworkers who switched over to this mouse because they started experiencing pain and have been happily using it for years.

You will naturally end up using the mouse like this: wrist and arm for large motions. Finger tips for fine movements. Your thumb naturally clicks the button in a strong position. Draging is a little bit difficult so I advise you learn how to highlight using keyboard shortcuts, like the shift key. Its a small price to pay to get relief from the pain.

I never had to have wrist surgery either. By the way, I also switched to microsoft natural keyboard and use a keyboard tray. All of these things are important for taking care of your wrists.

Still, when I go back to a regular mouse my wrist starts to ache in only half an hour. The marble mouse rocks and I hope they continue to make it until I retire.

By the way, the thumb trackballs are terrible. I don't recommend them. Moving you thumb side to side seems to irritate the joint in no time.
