Well Thought Out Design

After researching headsets for my 5.5 yr old, I bought this set and the Griffin myphones. I thought we could compare them, and if we liked both, one set could be for my 17 month old, too. After two weeks, my 5 yr old and I both prefer this set. It has a wider adjustment range, (fits the toddler AND fits me, an avg.-headed woman, but doesn't fit larger-headed husband) The sound quality is excellent, the plastic seems durable and flexible, and should withstand moderately rough use.

The options for two ways of controlling volume is particularly nice, b/c my son mostly listens to audio books, but also listens to music sometimes. The flexibility is great, b/c other headsets "volume limiters" just lower the overall volume, thus causing the spoken word or quieter songs, soft music (esp. lullaby style music) to not get loud enough to hear.

Before purchasing this headset, I called Kidz Gear on the phone to ask specifically about the decibel restriction issue above. I was promptly answered by a friendly, polite man with plenty of good information and the willingness to explain it all. Customer service seemed excellent, should I need help in the future.

I am a research-nut and not very easy to please. Despite these qualities, I would buy this again and would recommend it to others.

Finally, a set for under 5

This set is wonderful--best I've seen for little heads. It really does fit 2 year-olds (unlike most other "kid" headphones), and my 5 year-old loves them, as well (we are going to order a second pair). They are sturdy and comfortable, with padding around the ears. They could also fit older children until their ears started being closer to adult size (the padding is the only thing stopping these for working for an adult since the padding doesn't sit around the ear for adults, but ON parts of the ear--the headphones themselves are plenty big enough when you adjust them). Definitely worth $15-20 to not have headphones for trips that fall off or have to be fiddled with every 2 minutes.

Headphones for 15 Month Old

I purchased these headphones for my 15 month old for plane trips since we travel quite a bit. They work perfectly for him to watch videos on my Ipod Nano, and he actually leaves them on! They're soft for his little ears, and they adjust to fit him perfectly. I also appreciate the volume control that prevents the sound from getting too loud (although I just adjust the sound on the ipod, and lock it so my toddler can't adjust the volume).

I would highly recommend these headphones to anyone looking for something to fit a young child. As far as durability goes, they have held together well, however, I've only had them for a couple of months, so I don't know the long-term durability.

Great mouse, great price

I was skeptical of this mouse because of the low price. I took a chance on it and I am extremely pleased. This isn't just a good mouse for the price, but a good mouse period. I like for the mouse to be a little bigger - I find that small mice (i.e. portable laptop style) make my fingers and hand ache after long periods of use. This mouse is a good size and I feel like I'm simply resting my hand on top of it. The ergonomic design is a positive as well. I have never used an ergonomic mouse, always opting for the standard shape. It didn't take long to get used to and I feel like I have better control over the pointer. The location of the wheel and side buttons are very good, but the additional 3rd and 4th buttons below the wheel are a little tricky to press. Not really an issue for me, but some gamers may want to consider this. Lastly, set up was easy - simple plug and play. It comes with some software that allows you to edit what the buttons do, but I have no real need for it. 5/5 stars. Highly recommended!

Great Gaming Mouse!

This mouse resonates performance from the time you open the box. The braided cable is built for endurance and the heavy use that PC gaming puts on equipment. It is very ergonomically designed, the arc of the mouse fits perfectly into the palm and the two grips placed on the sides allow for precision control even during long gaming sessions. The programmable buttons allow the user to customize for any game on the market whether it be League of Legends or Call of Duty. The ability to change speeds by a push of a button make the learning curve for this product very easy to manage. Just set the speed from your previous mouse and you are good to go. Being a customer that has used Razer and Steel Series mice before, this mouse has the same high performance qualities for a much better price.

This is so much more mouse than the price indicates. Great feel, nice heft, and easy to use software for button macros. Even if, like me, you prefer having 3 buttons on the side, there is no reason to pay more for a "standby" emergency gaming mouse. One of the best values in PC peripherals I've ever enjoyed.

Wonderful for PC gaming or xbox parties

PROS:
Wired xbox360 controllers work well with windows7 right away and the driver for XP isn't hard to find.
No need to worry about relinking your controller when you go from xbox to xbox; just plug it in and you are good to go!
No need to charge or replace your batteries before you can play.
Most PC shooters made after the 360 have plug and play support for the 360 controller (in my experience). I've used mine for L4D, L4D2, and portal2 recently and I only needed to plug in the controller before launching the game for it to work.

CONS:
Cords are so 90s.
Since the two triggers aren't actually buttons a lot of older games can't map them as 'fire' buttons. This means that if you do any emulation or DOS gaming you will want to do research before buying this controller for them since you may not be able to use it in the way you hope.

Please note that if you want to use a 360 controller for PC gaming you CAN'T just use a 360 wireless controller and plug in a charge kit USB to your computer. The charge cord only provides power across USB; it doesn't communicate with the computer that way. If you want to use a 360 controller with your PC you need to buy this OR a wireless one that specifically comes with a plug for the computer.

I'm wired

The Xbox 360 controller is one of the greatest controllers ever designed, at least in terms of comfort, aesthetic appeal, sturdiness and whatnot. The only flaw is that the wireless version takes two AA batteries and they only last a few hours. Being wireless is novel for a while, but eventually the constant replacement of dead batteries got on my nerves. I have a serious aversion to 3rd party peripherals and rechargeable batteries in general, so a rechargeable powerpack was not an option for me. I solved the issue by getting a wired controller. It's even more comfortable; it's lighter, and there's no battery pack in the way of my finger tips. I love it, I'll never go back to wireless.

Best PC gamepad out there

The XBOX 360 wired controller is the best PC game controller out there. Many games available on the PC translate very well to a controller format since it's pretty common to see ports between the various platforms these days. It works just like it would on an XBOX and Windows 7 automatically recognizes and configures the controller for you. No complaints at all. I have two that I use frequently for gaming on the PC.

Loves them

My daughter really likes these. They are nice looking and good quality. Just remember that YOUR KID IS GONNA TALK LIKE THIS WHENEVER THEY HAVE THEM ON BECAUSE THEY DON'T REALIZE YOU CAN HEAR THEM PERFECTLY WELL WITHOUT THEM SHOUTING OVER THE MUSIC. If you can live with that, these are great. :)

5 stars for 5 year old, 3 stars for the 2 year old

These headphones are great, they fit each of my children well and I love the fact that they don't turn up as loud as regular headphones. However be aware there is a volume control wheel on the headphones themselves. This is fine for my 5 year old because if I tell her not to adjust it she usually won't. However, my 2 year old and I fought about this for the first few days of use. Finally I had to test it to get it to a good volume and then put electrical tape over the wheel so he can't change it. When he is old enough we can still take it off and he won't hurt is ear drums because even though these don't go up as loud as regular headphones, they do go up loud enough for me to hear what they are listening to and that in my opinion is too loud for little ears. Overall extremely happy with this purchase they are cute, effective, cheap and they even fit me!

I love the product and the sound control. Just know that you set the main item to the max you want and on the cord the kids cannot go past that. LOVE IT!
