A quality TV

Ordered the LG 47LB6300 after my Samsung UN46C6300 went bad, and I will try to use this as my basis for comparison.

First off, the item came well packaged, and I paid a bit extra for a Saturday delivery via the Prime membership. It was worth it and came on time.

The 47LB6300 shipping weight (33.8lbs) was much lighter than the shipping weight of my old Samsung LED Tv (55lbs) and the delivery man had no problem carrying it up the front steps to my front door. He even helped me get into my front door. The non shipping weight of the LG TV is 28.4 LBS and I believe that includes the stand as well. Where as my Samsung was around 44. The reason I bring this up is because the TV was very easy for me to remove from the box from myself, but if you have help all the better, especially when it comes to putting on the stands.

The LG stands are very elegant and simplistic they only require two screen per stand and they are a but curvy. They hold up the TV very well and it is sturdy as well. I did order a wall mount but will not be doing that for a while due to a surgery and not being able to lift things.But when it comes time to wall mount it, I see no problems in being able to do it because the TV is so light and thin, and I should have help to mount it anyway making the process even easier after all the drilling and mounting of the bracket. I used the LG bracket finder on their website to find a compatible mount and settled for a Sanus bracket.

When you first turn on the TV it will take you straight into the Setup process. They use childish penguin animations to aid etc so it should be fun for kids to watch and it gives you a sense of the colors and HD qualities of the TV. I liked it, it was cool. You also have to use the included magic remote that came with the TV to do the setup. I believe there is an option of plugging the coaxial cable for your cable directly into the TV to use the LG Live TV feature, but I do not use this because I prefer to use my cable box hooked up through my Xbox one. So I can't speak about that feature.

This is my first personal smart TV but I have used others and I will say this LG has the best UI by far from the ones I have used; being Samsung and Sony. And the Magic Remote makes it easy to navigate through the options.

Since I keep on mentioning the Magic Remote. It is basically like a Wii controller. It uses a motion sensor so you're able to click and point on things on the television to select apps / options. Or you can use the arrows / wheel if you prefer. It does have a bit of a learning curve but it's definitely not difficult, just different.

The apps on the TV are Netflix, Hulu, Amazon etc the basic streaming services. To my knowledge writing this review on 4/23/14 the LG APP store is not up and running on this television yet.

Another reason I bought this TV is that both my mother and I have LG G2 smart phones. The App for this TV that can be found on the Google play store is still in "BETA" so there are still some issues with it and it is not ready by any means. They expect to release that functionality sometimes in the second half of 2014. I hope when it is done that it will make the TV easier to use via my phone. I should also say my Xbox One recognizes the LG TV and when I use the voice commands to turn on the system or turn the system off, it will also turn both the tv / cable box off and on.

Anyways back to the Apps. You will need to set up WiFi and the TV has a built in WiFi and that should be a quick and easy thing to set up. I have all the individual apps ready to be used on their on should I one day disconnect my Xbox that my family / friends can use those functions. The apps work great, I have had no issues with slow playback when using the TV apps to stream video content.

Okay, the picture quality. It is much better than my old Samsung. The LG is ready out of the box and I have found no need to tune the picture quality in mostly dimly lit room, or with sunlight when I have it in my room. The IPS panel really puts out vibrant and bright colors and offers a wider viewing angle. Everything appears to be much smoother than my old Samsung. Everything being basic TV play back, video games, blu-rays, etc. This TV even uses less electricity than my old Samsung.

Sound Quality. The sound quality out of box is decent too. It's 20W of power for the speakers. You can be the judge if you need a sound system or not. I am currently happy without one but I have been considering a sound bar that I can pair with my TV, computer, and phone so I can stream music and louder range of sounds and better bass. I am a man that likes utility, but having more sound would be a want not a need for me at the moment.

Oh and it also comes with a year free of netflix, I just filed for it today since there seemed to have been an issue claiming that particular LG promotion since they had to update the list of eligible LG TV's since this one is new for this year and that is always a plus. I also believe if you already have Netflix you can use that code on an existing account and get a 90 dollar something credit, which is great if you already have that service.

Smart TV done right

WebOS on the LG TV's is front and center, and not an afterthought. This is currently the best implementation of "Smart TV" technology. WebOS is quick and responsive. As of the writing of this review (4/12/14), the LG Store (app store) is not yet launched. So the only apps you have access to (installed by default) are: Neflix, Hulu Plus, Vudu, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Skype, and a Web Browser. The web browser is ok, but not great. I have an Amazon account, and I can say that the experience is great with the amazon app. I am presuming Netflix works well too. In the amazon app, when you exit and return, it puts you right back into where you left off, nice feature.
The picture, sound and typical TV elements are great so I won't review those - needless to say I am very happy with the Audio/Video quality.
The TV was easy to mount on the wall using CheetahMount (another great product).
In regards to the remote control, this model using a "Magic Remote" which is sort of the shape of a Nintendo Wii Nunchuck (without the cable). It has no keypad on it, but an assortment of buttons and a clickwheel. The pointer on screen is easy to move and not overly sensitive. I will say, the remote is a bit difficult to get used to at first, but as with anything it gets easier, and it is easier after 1 day of use. I can't imagine someone not familiar with it, picking it up for he first time and using it correctly (like a babysitter or guest at your house). Intuitive - the remote is not. If it was intuitive, anyone (non tech or related) could pick it up and use it proficiently with a small learning curve. I will say though that it is 'innovative' though. The lack of the keypad though, makes it more difficult to use. It does work nicely with my DirectTV Genie system (again, takes a bit to get used too.) I still keep my DirectTV remote around, because most of the time the TV is just set to the DirectTV input, and it is easier for the rest of the family to just change the channels/DVR with the standard DirectTV remote.
Other notes: The free 1 year of Netflix when you buy the TV is not instant; you have to fill out an online form and wait for a response from LG and/or Netflix with the code, and they say it can take up to 3 weeks. That time frame is ridiculous, that could have been automated so you get instant access. Lastly, I ordered this though Amazon Prime, and it was delivered by Pilot courier. They were very fast and efficient, they unpacked it, tested the TV (plugged in that's all), and then offered to take the packaging boxes with them.
I can't give it 5 stars. If the Magic Remote was completly intuituve, they would have gotten 5 stars. If I could give 4 1/2 I would have.
I'm looking forward to seeing what other apps are released (facebook, pandora, etc).

Good quality image and sound, native apps, wifi

This is a nice Smart TV with useful features and the possibilities of other ones once the App Store opens.

❶THE PHYSICAL SPECS - This is an 47 inch TV (or maybe around 46.8) that has a very thin metallic gray bezel. Even though it has a larger screen, it looks smaller than my old Samsung 40-Inch HDTV which had a larger frame. I measured the length and width of the TV and it is about 42 x 26.5. It is very thin and not that heavy. The TV has two curved T shaped stands. Very minimalistic. They are not adjustable and stand 38 inches apart. That was a bit annoying as I had to disassemble my TV stand to fit the TV. The TV does not pivot (as my Samsung did). This was a nice feature as I would be sitting at the other size of the living room and could just pivot the TV to angle my way.

❷THE MAGIC REMOTE. It is a small remote with a click wheel and point. Looks like a Wii controller. There is no physical keyboard on the remote. The click wheel helps you flip through channels. The TV has a 3D button but it is not a 3D TV. So, why keep it there for non-#D TVs? The TV Remote has voice recognition. I tried it and said "Menu". It thought I said "Milo." I tried again and it recognized it as "Menu" but then said there was no such feature. Sigh. If your Set Top box or other device has special features, you will not be able to control it with this remote. I have a Tivo and there are a lot of features it cannot do. I have been trying to have the TV recognize the Tivo remote as the one for the TV but no luck yet. I can change channels with the Tivo remote, but cannot control sound or mute, nor can I change between input devices. This is a bit annoying.

I have not been able to get my Tivo remote to pair up. Any help appreciated.

❸INSTALLATION - The guided installation process was easy and intuitive. It took about 20 minutes. It was cute and animated. There was a penguin involved. During the installation you will be able to set the cable provider or the antenna. You can also set it to Eco saving mode. I have a Tivo so it was a bit of a workaround to set this up.

❹WIRELESS OR WIRED SETUP. This TV can connect through the internet through WiFi. I tried both the wired and wireless installations. The wired one too about half a minute since the only thing you have to do it plug in the ethernet cable. For the wifi installation, the TV recognized all the wireless networks around my house. The rest is the same as when you are login in your device to your wifi network. After trying both, I kept it as a wired connection.

❺USER INTERFACE. The LG Smart TV has a very easy to use user interface. It is very intuitive and easy to navigate. When in doubt, click the Home button and it gets you to the main menu.

❻APPS. Neflix, Hulu Plus, Vudu, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Skype, and a Web Browser. I plugged in my login info for Netflix and it ran fine. It has a nice interface.

The YouTube interface was also fine. Not having a physical keyboard made things annoying as you have to point and click each letter. But, YOUTUBE has a nice feature where you can pair the TV to your mobile device (phone or tablet) and you can search and play for and play the video and transmit to the TV. Sooooo very useful. This is a great feature.

The Web browser is not the fastest but it you can choose between Bing, Google and Yahoo. You can have more than one browser window open and it is easy to navigate between the windows. No Flash plugin. You can easily play video in the browser or open it with YouTube. Works pretty well. It doesn't allow you to download docs. Or, at least, it didn't allow me when I tried it.
I will update this as I use the other apps.

❼PICTURE QUALITY. The most important part. How good is the image quality. It is not the best I have seen and I think Sony and Samsung TVs are better in this department. But, it looks good, really good. It was a bit dull in color at the beginning. But, I played with the settings a bit and now it is perfect. Really Vivid quality. If you prefer it has preset settings of Vivid, Standard, Eco, Sports, Cinema and a few others. I tried it with different ones and Vivid seemed to best right now. I flip through different shows, movies and sports. For the sport fans, this TV is great for that. You can discern hair. And in the soccer match last night, someone had way too greasy hair (no, not one of the players). Netflix also looked great on it. Good picture quality.

❽OVER THE AIR AND MOBILE DEVICES. It uses Miracast. No option for iPhone that I know about. I am still trying to do this with my iPhone and iPad. It seems to be easier for Android devices. Any help with this is appreciated as well.

❾SOUND. It sounds pretty good. It is not that loud. Even setting it at its loudest won't bring my next door neighbors asking me to turn it down. Might not even bother someone in the next room. But, a sound bar is not necessary for me right now. Small apartment and all. If you have a big place, get a sound bar.

I am still playing with the TV, so I will update more as time passes.

Great Value, Has Quirks Like Nearly All Current TV's

The TV is simply a very good, simple TV. As stated by many others, this TV does not have the sort of Internet Connected bells and whistles you find on more expensive sets. This doesn't bother me - I have 3 devices hooked up to this TV that are already able to do Netflix, Hulu, etc... and far better than I've seen built into a TV. I recently purchased the 50" model and have enjoyed it thoroughly (and I'm very, very particular about image quality).

The TV is a bit thick compared to many other LED lit LCDs - not an issue for me since it will not be wall mounted. The thickness is the result of LED rear-lighting versus LED edge-lighting. While the latter allows thinner panels, the technology inherently lowers the image quality. More expensive sets overcome this issue and provide great pictures, but at the lower-end of the price spectrum, image quality is may be better served by rear-lighting. The set also has none of the "flashlight" effect (bright spots along the screen borders) that is common in even high-end edge-lit sets.

IMHO the black levels produced by a TV are the single most important aspect of overall image quality. This TV does a pretty-darn-good job, but don't expect it to be nearly as good as a decent plasma television. If you keep a few small lights on in the room while you watch a movie the blacks will appear quite nice and dark. In a pitch-black room however, you'll be looking at dark gray instead. The trade off is this TV gets brighter than most plasmas on the market, making it's picture clearer in a brightly lit room. Some edge-lit sets can dim portions of the screen to improve the black level, but this also comes with image trade-offs such as "blooming" (seeing the edge of the brightly lit portion of the screen spilling into the dark areas). Unlike some very high end sets with "full-array" rear-lighting, this set cannot turn off individual LEDs to dim portions of the screen.

This is all really just a long-winded way to say that this TV seems like a good deal, and seems to have image quality that is comparable in several ways to more expensive sets. After weighing the trade-offs of many (MANY) TVs, this seems to have been the right choice for me. It would have gotten 5 stars, but Samsung has decided to put only 2 HDMI inputs on this set (1-2 less than others at the price point). Its a mild annoyance having to use an HDMI switch for several of my components, but far from a deal-breaker and possibly not an issue for the majority of people.

Great TV Value

This TV is a great value in the Samsung line. At the time I purchased this, it was $1000(!) cheaper than the step up model with 3D and smart TV (I have the 65"). 3D isn't important to me at all, and I have an Xbox so all of the streaming and stuff wasn't important either. Forget what Cnet says about this TV, I find the picture to be solid and the black levels to be completely acceptable for an LED.

I'll get the CONS out of the way first...

It's a little thicker since it is a full array LED, but that's ok in my set up and I prefer the full array as it tends to give more consistent lighting than edge lit.

The biggest knock is the lack of input/output options. I am trying to simplify, so it's not insurmountable in my case, but if this will be the center piece of a complex set up you'll probably need a receiver to get all of the processing you will want. One note, the optical out down converts to stereo from 5.1/ 7.1 etc. so you'll want to consider that.

That's it on the CONS. The picture is great, the processing of signals seems to be solid, and there are no artifacts when watching fast moving action.

One major thing I did find with the picture, however, is the "Auto Motion Plus" setting. This makes high def movies look terrible for some reason. Like it was shot with a handheld camera. I have found no benefit for this setting and suggest turning it off immediately!

For those who don't need internet $tuff but want an AWESOME TV

If you want a smart TV or a 3D TV, this is not one. That being said, I wanted a TV not another computer-like device, and this fits the bill perfectly. My Bluray player has Wifi and all that jazz if the mood ever strikes me, so why pay hundreds (literally) so my TV can have it. I don't think I'd ever use it, I have a laptop and a smartphone for those types of things. I think there are lots of us with that viewpoint about a TV.
If you want a brilliant HD picture, a nice big-but-not-crazy-huge 50" screen, then this TV is perfect. The thin bezel (frame) makes it look like it's all screen while you're watching it, it's nice! The sound, while some people say it's awful, is actually quite nice considering NO thin LED TVs have booming sound. Compared to TVs of yesteryear this TVs sound is actually nice & crisp with a little bass (not much) and fairly spacious. I find it VERY adequate for day to day watching. i also have the Vizio VHT215 soundbar for when I want to crank it during a movie. But if you've never been a theater sound person then don't believe people who say this TVs sound royally sucks, it doesn't. It's fine, maybe a notch above similar thin TVs on the market.

It has 2 HDMI ports so you can hook up your satellite or cable box, and your Bluray. If this angers you because you also have a Wii or an Xbox, then you'll have to make the sacrifice of either a) a switch, or b) moving a cable, which takes all of 5 seconds. Or if you have a soundbar that has HDMI inputs (like the Vizio VHT215) you can pipe your devices into it (as a switch) and then feed the signal(s) to your TV that way.
If this TV had everything under the sun it wouldn't cost only $1100 and be on sale often for around $800-900. It would cost $2400....which is what some upper-end Samsungs do cost. So therefore, don't believe the criticism that this TV is "mediocre" based on the fact that it lacks things that make it pricier. It is 120Hz (midrange to good); 1080p (as good any other); 20watt sound (good, on par with competitors); 50" (well, it's big but not huge- plenty for sitting 10-15' away); Nice looking (as most black TVs are); Matte screen (keeps extra reflections to a minimum); has a backlit remote control [the buttons light up] (a touch that most competitor don't offer- nice for night time viewing); has zillions of color, brightness, LED level, smooth motion, movie, dynamic, blah blah blah adjustments (if you're a tweaker you can tweak to your heart's content); it has a joystick-style control on the bottom right-of-center edge instead of buttons (for power on/off, settings, menu, etc- unique to most TVs).

Anyway, you get the idea. It has all those things new TVs have, plus Samsung's reputable picture quality. Oh, and it states it costs an average of $11 to run. For a year. Wow. I think my old Sony boob tube cost that a month! And I'll brag a little, this TV only cost me $447. Haha, I scored four $100 gift cards to Best Buy from work and it was on sale for $799. Cha ching for me.

Uber-happy with this TV because I knew what I was buying before I bought it, and it has what I want and not extra bloatware I don't need. well worth the $800 sale price, and I honestly think it's worth the $1100 retail tag.

Not a lot of info out there: don't hesitate...

There are not a lot of reviews, or really information, in general, on this television. I have owned it for two weeks now, and I would like to share my experiences. First off, I cut the TruMotion stuff: not interested in that 'soap opera look.' No further comment on it.

Color is a little off, but not too bad. Maybe me just being overly picky/critical. Delving into the 'advanced' menu quickly fixed it. Black levels on this TV are phenomenal. This is the closest to a plasma picture I have noted on a LED. The only thing is the image processing. Going from light to dark or vice versa will cause a 'jolt' in brightness as the screen attempts to catch up with the image. It freaked me out at first, but, since then, I have reduced the screen's overall brightness, and I have not seen another instance (not to say that is what fixed the 'problem').

I am not into 3D, but...I tried 2D to 3D conversion on 'The Dark Knight Rises'. I was impressed, very impressed. So much so, I went out and bought Jurassic Park 3D. Much better 3D than the TDKR conversion. It pops. No bad artifacts or anything, just pure dino-in-yo-face action. All that being said, I will probably never use the feature again.

SD up-conversion was very good. I was afraid my collection of DVDs would be choppy or pixelated, not the case. All content looks great on the television. (TV paired with a Panasonic BDT220)

If you have any questions, I will do my best to answer them. I am no videophile, but I am peculiar about the picture.

In all, Sony has brought forth a great television with a lengthy list of features at a great price.

I purchased this from Best Buy for the same price (plus taxes), I was weary about buying an item of this size shipped to my house.

I am not very tech savy when it comes to Home AV. To put it into perspective, the last tv I bought was one of first LCD generations LG 32' (first XD system) for around $2300. Phenominal TV for the times, but it doesn't hold a candle to current tech.

Fast forward, I finally got the itch for a new tv because I was getting the AmazonTV to replace using the horribly slow online content with my Samsung Blueray. I knew this was a Smart TV, and I originally wanted my money to go more towards the picture quality than features....until I saw this TV!
Like the other reviewer, I was on the fence between this, Vizio M501d-A2R which was $200 cheaper, or a 60'' Sharp Aquos for $999 that was a clearance model 2013.
I still had skepticism about Vizio long term, and the Sharp was possibly going to be too big for my single-bedroom apartment, but the biggest factor was screen quality, which the Sony trumps all!
I considered LG and Samsung, but Samsung has left a bad taste in my mouth with the last two products I've owned from them, and their panel picture seems overly saturated, which is nice if that is what you like. LG has a more natural screen like Sony, but the models in the same specs just didn't measure up in picture quality not to mention if I wanted a LG with 4 HDMI, I would have had to spend a few hundred more to get it. The Sony is really that good!

I am still toying with the settings (there is a lot of them) and have no experience with the 3D since I do not have a 3D source, but my understanding is that the components used to make the 3D panel is better quality than the 2D panels which improves the 2D quality as well. The blacks are very black, but accurately differentiate shadows. I cannot comment about the hertz rating with the 120,240, 480Hz stuff, but there is more than enough custom settings there to get the exact performance you are aiming. I believe some sources stated that the 2013 version of the 800 series were a bit of a letdown, and that those same sources state that the 2014 (this model) is significantly better, and dialed to compete with other brand's high models that cost $100s more, and I honestly believe it looking different brands/models side-by-side.

Nearly every aspect of this TV is understated with the exception of the actual panel which pops with very vibrant and natural picture. The bezel is very thin so there is very little distraction. There is a small light that can be configured to your liking that will flash when there is remote activity or turned off. I turned it to low so that it isn't distracting while watching TV, but when it goes to screen saver mode (when my pandora times out after a few hours) I know the TV is still on.

The remote was a bit of a letdown cosmetically. Even my 2003 LG LCD had a much nicer remote, but I plan on investing into one of Logitech's universals to simplify things anyways. However, it is easy to understand and navigate with so in the function department, it's all good. Everything is done on the screen anyways. It has 4 HDMIs which I had a requirement of 3+, but in the end I couldn't get the Audio Return HDMI to function properly sending the audio signal to my AV Receiver so I ended up resorting back to running everything into the receiver and having one HDMI going to the TV. The Good thing is that even with the pass-through, the banner will still recognize the device automatically.

All-in-all, if picture quality trumpts all, and you want a 50" from a company that is a proven performer in the AV world. The biggest companies in the biz (Samsung, LG, Sony, Sharp, Vizio) all offer great product, and there are small differences between the brands. The only one that measured up spec-wise was the Vizio M501d-A2R which also had a really good picture and a $200 cheaper price tag, but the Sony wins out hands down with a bit better screen quality, less glare, and the peace of mind that it will most likely still be working 12yrs from now in a world of planned obsolescence and product engineering. I feel that Sony is a superior product in that respect and feels a little bit more "future proof" as future proof as a tech product can be these days.

Breathtaking

I have owned several modern tvs: Panasonic plasmas, Samsung LEDs, sharp LEDs. Nothing will compare to the color accuracy or deep blacks of a plasma, but this tv truly is breathtaking. I actually thought it was a 4k tv initially. There is so much pop that it is a joy to watch. The level of detail is phenomenal.

I prefer passive 3d to active tv, granted I did not buy this for the 3d or smart features. The remote is decent, not good or bad. I purchased this for $999, which is a steal IMO. I did try out the vizio m series and it left a lot to be desired. At this price point you will NOT find a better picture.

I updated my settings. I simply love this tv more and more each day. I typically am not a fan of the motion smooth settings, but I have found setting motionflow to clear provides such a clear sharp picture. It keeps sports judder free (hockey has a slight judder) and movies/shows look fantastic.

Major improvement

I purchased this Samsung to replace a 5 year old Sony led tv that had developed screen problems. The difference between the picture quality of this Samsung and the Sony is shocking. The Samsung is sharper with far more color range and depth. Black levels are excellent and this from a tv that weighs far less than the Sony. You don't get an owners manual with this tv to describe all the functions and controls so you will need to set up internet access to use the e-manual or to download it to your computer. Connecting to your wi fi is easy but to be honest I cant seem to access any of the apps such as Netflix or Vudu and I don't have a wireless keyboard to evaluate surfing the web. The tuner in this tv is also receives roughly 20 more stations off the air than the Sony did. I cant say if the 5 year difference in the TV's is why it is so much better or if it is some Samsung "magic"...I can just tell you that you wont regret buying this tv!

Best TV Ever!

I just received this TV yesterday and it is the most beautiful television I've ever owned. The picture is so unbelievably crisp and clear, you feel like people are in the room with you. Even in bright sunlight, the picture stands out. This is the best purchase I have had in decades!

No Buyers Remorse!!!

I love it! The delivery company delivered and set my 55H6350 this morning. What an amazing picture. I couldnt be more happy with the picture quality. I have read reviews about people who diss this tv because of the Slow Apps or Poor Sounds. In my experience so far, the apps and web browser ARE slow but I have this TV connected to an Asus Chromebox and use that for web browsing and all apps. So the smart features wont be used by me. The built-in speakers sound okay to me. Nothing spectacular but nothing horrible, just average. However, I am using the Optical Out from the TV to my A/V Receiver and all is well.

I found the following calibration online and seem to really enhance the picture to provide true colors.

So after 4 hours, I would recommend this tv to Anyone. I'll report back if I have problems in the future but so far ZERO buyers remorse.

UPDATE: 30 days in and I could not be more happy with my purchase. I did a ton of comparison (probably too much) shopping before buying this tv. Boy did I make the right decision. This TV is SWEET! again, i dont use the smart features so no comment on them.

For some things, size does matter

Once you go with a large TV, it's hard to go back to a smaller unit! This thing is HUGE. With viewing distances under 10 ft., 80 inches may be overkill. DirecTV/cable broadcasts that are heavily compressed do not look that great on the TV due to the artifacts, especially when seen up close. For things like Netflix and Blu-ray, they look great even from around 8 ft.

Right now, 4K TVs are not worth the cost of admission, especially when there is so little media available that support 4K at the moment. So instead of spending $12k+ for a large 4K TV, you may as well enjoy this TV for a few years, then upgrade to a 4K unit when there's enough content to support it and the TVs come down in price.

As far as the variations between the different Sharp models, I went with the 650 based off of negative CNET reviews of the higher Qurattron models. The color accuracy on the 650 is not perfect, but it's certainly good enough, especially for the price point (and size). With a few tweaks to the colors under settings using a blue filter, I was able to get the colors to a pretty solid place. The other recommendation is to turn off Film mode in Movie settings as it makes the compositions look awful.

For games, the unit has around 58ms of input lag. While acceptable for most people for most games, you will notice it if you are very sensitive to it. For games that require frame counting like fighting games, this will have a noticeable effect as you'll be approximately 3-4 frames behind at 60fps. But for most games, it should be within an acceptable/tolerable limit.

If 3D is a must have, get the higher models as the 650 does not support 3D.

Limited Range

I only have two issues with this TV, which I LOVE otherwise.

First, I had to buy a second router to put on the same floor as the TV. It could not pick up my router on another floor.

Second, I bought a Sharp model HT-SB60 sound bar home theater system with wireless subwoofer to go with it. The sound is fantastic, but when I set the sound bar in front of the TV, it covers up the remote control sensor on the TV. Bad design! I don't want to mount it on the wall, so I have to put it behind the TV, which doesn't allow me to use the remote on the sound bar. If the TV stood up taller (above the sound bar) or Sharp moved the sensor on the TV to the top of the TV, there would be no problem. When I called Sharp, they acknowledged this is a problem for many people.

OMG this TV is unbelievable!

I'll be honest with you. I did not buy this TV from amazon.com. I bought it from Sams Club because it was $100 cheaper and I could get it into my pickup truck then and there. However, this TV is so big that sat out in my garage for 3 weeks until I could get some friends over to help me set it up! It's huge. First and foremost. Big. Big. Big. Picture quality is spectacular. Brightness and pixilization flawless. I'm completely satisfied and I am not always so flattering in my reviews. Some reviews I read were not flattering. I'm not sure why. I have had no issues at all. I did read that the customer service was good but for now I have no need to worry about that. I have the biggest TV on the block and am very happy with my decision. Bright. Even lighting over the entire huge screen. No problem with pixilization on high def TV. It's not 3d but great price and wonderful quality. You can keep reading other reviews if you want but this is the one.
