As with virtually every Spigen case, you get a great look, a great feeling in the hand, and very solid protection.

This is a two part case, but feels so seamless that you'd be hard to tell. It has a great two-tone look to it, as well as a very nice feeling in the hand.

The only downside to this case, IMO, is that the IR receiver is blocked, meaning you can't control your TV/entertainment set up with this case on. If you don't use the IR receiver/transmitter, this won't be an issue for you.

I've already dropped my HTC One, less than 24 hours after the case arrived. The case took 100% of the impact. I'm SO GLAD they went with flat black instead of gloss black with the plastic part of this case, looks way better.

Excellent protective case that still lets the M8 style shine

The metal finish on the case is smooth and a little slippery. The silver version mimicks the original M8 case somewhat. The case has an angular design which looks nice and adds extra protection. All the holes are well cut out for the cameras and flash. The buttons work very well and unlike rubber buttons these plastic ones won't wear out as quickly from constant use. There is a lip on the front of the case so you can place the phone face down without the screen touching the surface. The Spigen logo is discreet and nicely done.

However, if you plan to use the M8 for TV remote control then this case doesn't allow that. For me, this isn't a big downside for the benefits of this classy case design.
