People should be aware that you can no longer create new Sirius accounts. You should also know that you can't use this tuner with a "Sirius-Ready", "XM-Ready", or "Satellite-Ready" radio and that it works only with newer radios that have the "SiriusXM" logo. The reason for this is you no longer have to purchase a tuner made for a specific brand. This tuner is universal and works with any brand. This is a big plus should you decide to change radio brands in the future because you can still use the same satellite tuner.

XM receiver!

I have been a Sirius subscriber since 2004 and never had a problem. I purchased a car that did not have any satellite radio recently, so I purchased this receiver and a new compatible deck. Being that Sirius and XM merged since I last bought a radio, I assumed that new radios received SiriusXM "combined" programming since all new radios say "SiriusXM". That is not the case. This is an XM radio. If you want the sirius programming you are used to, you must subscribe to additional programing, thus raising your rates.
SiriusXM is ONE company, but are now fleecing their subscribers by separating their programming.
It should be explained in the details of this product that this is an XM radio, Sirius programming will cost extra.

Perfect, If your head unit says SiriusXM ready, this is the adapter you need. Be aware this is an XM receiver, not a Sirius stereo, they are the same company but it requires the "everything" subscription for NFL and Howard Stern.
