Night Camera Doesn't Work
By l@wiz
I felt compelled to write my first Amazon review on this product because there are few reviews on it to date and two that I have read are largely positive. I am returning this product. The night camera does not work at all. If you use any kind of a night light in your child's room, you cannot see ANYTHING with this monitor, and I mean nothing. It was difficult to make out even the blob shape that was my daughter's crib, let alone anything inside the crib, or my daughter herself. The day cam works great. I love the pan feature on the camera. But, if you cannot see your child at night then, in my opinion, why bother to purchase a video monitor. Buyer beware.

Night vision is sub-par... look into the Samsung
By Candace Smartt
Despite a recognizable brand, the night vision is inadequate on this product and the pan/tilt feature leaves much to be desired. Was impossible to tell if baby was awake or asleep in very dark conditions. We upgraded to a Samsung SEW-3037W and could not be happier. We also tried a Summer, which had decent resolution (still not as good as the Samsung), but after a month, it unexpectedly started having interference issues with our wireless network. Had to return it, even after troubleshooting for quite some time. I have learned you get what you pay for with baby monitors -- and if you can afford it, the $200-250 options will serve you much better.

Chunky image, color off, shorter battery life
By Truth Teller
I really wanted to like this baby monitor, but the quality is just so low compared to other brands we've had that I can't give it a good rating.
The positives:
- I like the digital pan. It's nice to be able to move the camera view around if your child has wriggled themselves to the end of the bed, or if they get out of bed and you want to see what they're doing. And to be clear, this monitor has pan and tilt, but it doesn't have zoom. The picture is a fixed distance.
- I like the alarm/timer. If you need to feed your child on a schedule or give medicine on a schedule, this feature would be really handy.
The many Negatives:
- The image is so chunky and digitized, it's as if the image has already been digitally zoomed to the max and is highly pixelated. This isn't good for seeing detail, especially in night vision mode. I had trouble even telling which, if any, blankets my toddler had on because I all I could make out was a mass of fabric. Other monitors we've had (such as Lorax and Summer) were clear enough for me to tell which blanket (comforter or just sheet) she had on so I knew if I should risk going in to cover her.
- The color is very "off" in day mode. The whole room seems as if it's in some sort of retro Instagram mode. The gamut skews very red, so that the brown sheets actually look purple, the wooden bed looks red, and all the colors are "off". Other monitors we've had (such as Lorax & Summer)
- Short battery life, in my opinion. I unplugged the parent unit from the charger, with a fully charged battery, at 8:00pm. I turned the monitor screen off, so just the sound was operating. At 3:00 in the morning I was awakened by the low battery beep. 7 hours, with the screen off, doesn't cut it for me. Our other monitors (such as Lorax & Summer) were able to last through the night and into the next morning after having a full charge and keeping the video screen off.
I think the people who saw the picture quality is great have never tried or observed another brand of monitor. I would suggest looking around for some alternatives before buying this model.
